Look out of your window at Solihull Hockley Heath, M42 and you'll see countryside all around you. In fact you'll be surprised by just how green the Black Country really is. And, with Shakespeare's hometown just up the road, the stage is set for a great break. Watch star-crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet at Stratford. Or watch modern lovers get married at nearby wedding venues. See the jousting at Warwick Castle. Then taste the chocolate at Cadbury World. Comfy beds and a Beefeater restaurant will welcome you home where you can drift off to a great night's sleep.
"Great hotel to stay in if you are traveling for work. Pool and jacuzzi is always a bonus. Great food in the Burgundy restaurant, but don't order Tiramusu (it's too creamy, no taste of coffee or alcohol - very bad)! Staff members are friendly, let us stay for an extra hour, which was nice."
"Very warm welcome and everything as it should be. Swift service both at the hotel and Beefeater next door. Good location for motorway but it’s not in Solihull- it’s in Shirley which is a distance from Solihull itself. No problem to us though. "

"It is very close to the work address, and the transportation is quite convenient, but you have to rent a car. The next day I found out that the hotel was bought by the Indians. The breakfast is too average, even the coffee is rushed."
"Stayed for 1 night prior to early flight. It was further from the airport than I thought it was. The bed was comfortable and bedding spotless The hubby liked the fact he could see the aircraft take off and land from the room so wasn’t disappointed that it was further than anticipated. The bathroom was adequate but I’m not sure about having a shower curtain instead of a screen but it did look clean. The meals we had were nice and a couple of drinks in bar. Hospitally tray was adequate too. You need to ask reception for hairdryers but not an issue. Overall it’s great value for money and we would stay again. All the staff we came into contact were friendly and professional at all times"
"A word of caution. My issue was resolved favourably but my advice is to check the reservation and ask the questions.
The ibis Birmingham Airport has 2 levels of accommodation at the same location.
I booked and paid for the Ibis through Trip. On arrival I was told the Trip had made my reservation in Ibis Budget. The concierge told me me there was nothing he could do. I would have to take it up with the booking agent, Trip.
I accepted the room ( I have stayed here before in ibis Budget, I knew what to expect. Perfectly adequate for an early morning departure.)
My disappointment was that I had booked and paid for the higher end accommodation on this occasion.
Needless to say, I contacted customer support services and after sometime and various explanations and photographs, my issue was understood. I chose to accept the compensation offered."
"Arrived for check in and was told they had made an error and offered me 2 rooms instead of 1 family room. As I had 2 minors with me this was not acceptable. They gave us 2 rooms with adjoining door so we could still be together."
"The hotel’s parking lot became over crowded due to an event. Meaning we had to park in the airport’s car park and walk back.
Unfortunately the location of the hotel means that we were very close to the take off runway and we could hear planes all the time, the windows and walls were not soundproofed enough.
Lastly the pillows were rather uncomfortable as they were much too empty, felt like a ballon instead of an actual pillow.
Otherwise the room and the hotel were clean and the room service was actually surprisingly pleasant. The staff we encountered was friendly and helpful.
The food they served was really tasty as well."
"Met with a warm greeting at reception. Registration was swift. The room was spacious, clean, and modern. Excellent facilities both at the hotel and nearby. Food and beverages are reasonably priced. Breakfast was plenty and wholesome."

GGuest UserHotel location is lovely set off the road behind a riding school and the staff are friendly
You have to pay for your meals as you go along as you cannot add anything to your hotel bill.
Water, biscuits and face cloth were not consistently replenished
GGuest UserMy Chinese friend stayed here with her 6 year kid, as she wasn't happy with the location and hotel in Snow Hill. So I moved her here closer to my location.
She liked the room, TV and the reception was helpful. The park is near to the hotel, so is the library. Very handy for families. The kid liked the pizzas in Greggs and there's a Chinese restaurant close that they ate in, which isn't too expensive.
Overall she was happy she stayed here for about 8 days. She thinks she'd stay in this hotel again, if she were to visit England again.
GGuest UserIt was a nice big room, the bed with four-poster. The receptionists were doing their job properly. We only stayed one night, did not use all the facilities, such as bar, swimming or gym which there were available, only the restaurant.
The bed is too soft, my husband was sank into it. He did not have a good night sleep.
SSarahSecond time staying in this lovely hotel and did not disappoint again. Lovely location, comfortable rooms and bed and the staff are very friendly.
KKarenThe hotel was very friendly. They let me store my large amount of luggage downstairs in their store room.
The bedroom was basic but adequate.
It would have been nice to have a kettle and tea and coffee. Instead you had to go to another floor to find the coffee machine.
I did not eat at the hotel. There was a restaurant and bar.
The room was clean and warm. Ideal for one night before an early flight.
AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is not very convenient. There are no good transportation facilities, supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. You need to walk for a while to reach the bus station and restaurants. The hotel's front desk clerk was very nice, but the hotel did not provide comprehensive equipment, such as slippers and hairdryers.
