Hotels in Shi Road/Shantang business district, Suzhou

Had a wonderful stay at Andu. The front desk staff are all polite, helpful and informative, especially 小张。The hotel location is centralised. Room is big and very comfortable. Breakfast is good.

Overall the hotel is in a good location, just opposite the tourist area - Pingjiang Road. It was a pity that the hotel driveway was having works as it made taking of didi really tough with the heavy traffic around. It was wonderful that they provide a laundry room that is FOC, but we met terrible hotel guests who removed my family clothes from both washer and dryer when they were still wet. More consideration into how such acts could be prevented could be in place. Hotel breakfast and gym were both basic. Special mention to Front Desk Officer Amanda (on duty on evening of 28 Dec) whose service was excellent.

A new hotel and super convenient location in Suzhou. Location within 2 mins walk to the old town Where’s a spectacular view . Plenty of shops and restaurants around the area from old to modern. Staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful, and able to help you with your enquiries to tour around Suzhou. I’ve stayed 1 night with breakfast, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. , breakfast choice is good , however dining area is limited space so if the hotel is busy you may not have a space to eat . I would recommend the hotel to have a larger signs outside the entrance as it would be abit hard to find if you are a tourist . Overall I will recommend this hotel .

Perfect location, near pedestrian street. Restaurants, food street, stores, shoppings malls around hotel. Good bed and clean room.

The hotel is centrally located in the most convenient tourist area where the famous Suzhou Museum and gardens are within walking distance. However, it is rather congested if you were to travel by car to other areas in Suzhou. We managed to call hired cars during week days and non public holidays but heard that it could be extremely congested during weekends. The upgraded room class we booked was not too up to our expectation but the hotel staffs were very accomodating and offered us to switch to one with balcony and better views. Cleanliness was fine but has room for improvements. Don't expect a n extravagant breakfast but it is okay. The coffee machine a bit old n has a queue. Nevertheless, you can purchase Starbucks coffee onsite for a better taste. The Chinese garden area is very relaxing for tea and quiet moments. Very enjoyable stay indeed. Thanks to the staffs and management team there.

The hotel is located very close to Shantang street. The laundry room doesn’t have a seating area, messy and give you uncomfortable feeling. During one wash, I suspected that the laundry detergent has run out. Unlike previous wash, there was no foam after 10 minutes. Informed a hotel staff whom happened to be there. Instead received unfriendly and unhelpful response. I had to re-wash after the cycle was over. I added my own laundry detergent. The elevator carpet has a stench. It was revolting! The management might as well remove it. Leave it without a carpet. We were upgraded to a junior suite. It’s spacious and well designed. But pantry area is a bit dusty. Coat brush, shoe mitt and shoe horn were not provided. The hot water (for bathing) is inconsistent. Hot water suddenly cut off (within 3 seconds) a few times. This is unacceptable during winter; to say the least. Breakfast spread is average but I like the noodles soup, wanton soup as well as the soy milk; all 3 mentioned are tasty.

When I checked in at Houju Hotel, I felt very intimate. When the laundry service was used, the clothes would be dried and delivered to the room. Before arriving at the hotel, I also sent a guide map of WeChat and quickly found the location of the hotel. When I checked in, I felt a good hospitality service. The enthusiasm and smile of the staff infected a good mood. I guided the room we stayed in and I could rest soon. The room we stayed in was equipped with smart small degrees, able to switch lights, curtains and air conditioning, really suitable for our lazy travel, and the toilet is also very smart, the bathroom is dry and wet separation, to a large extent really good use, including toiletries and complete, The laundry detergent and shower supplies are very easy to use, fragrant, I really like this Houju hotel. And the transportation is very convenient, very close to Shantang Street, a few hundred meters away, just a few minutes walk, and close to the Shilu subway station of Metro 🚇 Line 2, it is very convenient to take the transportation, choose Houju Hotel is right ～. Next time you come to Suzhou Gusu District Houju Hotel, the 4th floor of Shangchengmen, absolutely authentic, value for money!

Excellent location, within walking distance to Ping Jiang Road and Guan Qian Street, and also ＜ 5 minutes walking distance away from the Lindun Road station (exit 5). The interior is modern and well maintained, and the hotel room is very comfortable and well equipped with all the necessities. The staff members are attentive and warm, and will address any issues promptly and efficiently. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel, as staying here provides a great and memorable experience for our Suzhou trip!

The room is better than the picture, beyond expectations, the front desk sister is very good and very warm, parking also has a special parking lot is very convenient, very close to Guanqian Street Pingjiang Road, can be reached on foot, ordering takeaway robot delivery is very convenient~ the room is very clean, the location is great, Next time I come to Suzhou, I will choose this one...
