"It is very convenient to stay overnight on foot. Although it is a youth hostel, it is very quiet. The facilities of the homestay are very complete, and the public area of the rest area is very comfortable. It would be better if lunch boxes were provided. If the weather is bad, I definitely don’t want to go out for meals."

Akariya is a little far from Tanabe Station and it is normal to take a bath but it is about a 2minute drive from the Kisei Expressway Kamitita IC and it has good access to Shirahama so at Shirahama Onsen I think you can enjoy a day trip bath Easy access to Shirahama Adventure World Shirahama Beach and Kumano Kodo Free parking is available

"We took the Ryujin Bus and arrived at Kamimota. It was not yet check-in time, but the hotel lady was already waiting at the door. Serve warm tea, introduce the hot spring time, ask about meal time, and carefully prepare for dinner in the room. After the meal, we made the bed and asked thoughtfully about the time for the next day's morning service and the time for the bus to leave. The whole process was considerate. It was very cold outside when we left, and the hotel lady asked us to wait in the hotel until the bus came to the door. When we left, he said goodbye to us warmly and waved until we left. The hot springs here are very good, the food is delicious, and the experience is great."

"The second time I lived, the last time was 8 years ago, the facilities were still clean and not significantly old. There is still the hospitality of traditional Japanese-style hotels. The hot springs are still good, and it is a relatively new hotel near the Dragon God."

GGuest UserConvenient location near the railway station, but the trains do not disturb you - you can't hear them in the hotel. New, comfortable, spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast, there is a self-service laundry (washing machine and dryer). There are many cafes and shops nearby, the sea is a 10-minute walk away. On Sunday mornings there is a farmers' market by the sea

YYongrenzhaowulingwangThe shuttle bus from Ikidanabe JR Station was at around 2pm. If you missed it, you can only take a taxi there, which costs about 1700JP.
The beach behind the hotel is very beautiful, and you can see the sunset.
I booked a one-night stay with two meals. The dinner was pretty good, and the quality was higher than that of several hotels behind the Kumano Kodo!
There was also dandan noodles for supper in the evening. Personally, I feel that except for the inconvenient transportation, I am satisfied with the hotel in other aspects!
The shuttle bus was delivered to Ikidanabe Station at 10am in the morning. We felt it was a bit late, so we asked the front desk to call a taxi to the station.
Other areas are good!

XXiaomu2020Very satisfied, especially the handsome guy Weng Sang. His Chinese service was warm and thoughtful. He solved all the problems I had with the Kumano Kodo itinerary. He helped me buy the stamping book and check in my luggage. He also explained the bus timetables in all directions, which took up a lot of his time. Finally, he helped us deliver our luggage to the room. I bought a one-night stay and two-meals package. The food was delicious. In short, I had a good time and was satisfied with the food. Thank you

Kind hosts who speaks a reasonable amount of English. Dinner smelled delicious but I didn’t go for it because I wanted to try the other restaurant in the area.
If I return to kawayu, I will come back here.

GGuest UserThere were various open-air baths, and you could choose the type and time, which was 40 minutes or so, so it was a very good hot spring. I stayed for multiple nights, but was busy working on my computer all day, so I was only able to go to the front desk on the first day of check-in and was disappointed that I couldn't make a reservation for the hot spring. The staff were cheerful and kind, and if there was anything I needed, they would casually let me know, and they were all wonderful staff. It was neither a business hotel nor a bustling tourist hotel, and the furnishings and the interior of the hotel were old, but it was not just old, it was a hotel with a sense of charm. The staff also seemed like hoteliers.

WWEIWENTypical Japanese hot spring hotel. The bathing area is outside the hotel, and many Japanese people drive over. The open-air bath in the bath is very large, with 5 pools for men's baths and 4 for women's baths. The hotel has 4 family baths, which are free for hotel residents. Hotel guests have two keys, one is the door to the house, and the other is to open the family door. The hotel has a free shuttle bus from Shirahama Station. There is also a free shuttle bus to Kumano Hongu Taisha. The one-park-two-food set meal is quite satisfactory. Because the hotel is located in the mountains, there is nothing around it, so it can only bubble soup at night.

AAlbrecht Pagaduanno expectations when i booked it… i just need a room for a quick stop to the city! Itt was good enough… they said it was old, but it was ok for me and had a good stay during the night! The best part is i was close to the transportation terminal. i would stay again in here if i come back

AAmbroseThis hotel is okay, it was a bit dingy and the room smelt a little bit of smoke - but I was totally fine with that because you get to use the great onsen at the partner hotel next door (spent my time there), and the area was really nice. I liked it as a cheap option along the kumano kodo.

HHui LingIt’s more for family vacation or friends staycation. Kitchen is well equipped, nearby is only 2 eateries, bus transportation is available but very limited . Bring some food over so u can cook dinner n breakfast for yourself

GGuest UserThe room was very clean. The landlady was kind and could communicate in Chinese using a translation software. I ordered her breakfast for 800 yen and it was very comfortable. I didn’t know what to choose from the meal. I just ate what she made and I was very satisfied. This B&B can pick you up from the station. I don’t speak Japanese, so I can only walk there. When I left, she drove me to the station. I liked it very much! The bus runs twice a day, and it’s difficult to take a taxi. The pick-up and drop-off is very pleasant.
