Best Tawe-Uchaf Hotels

"Hey, so I stayed at this hotel for a few nights, three nights to be specific, and it was probably one of the best hotels to stay in if you're visiting Brecon Beacons National Park in south wales. The staff was very friendly and they were accommodating. We had a room on the other side of the hotel where the Internet or Wi-Fi was not great. They moved our room temperature area with good wifi. I liked the room. It was big enough for two people with a single bed. The breakfast was good, and they served you an excellent Welsh breakfast. It could have improved but I think overall, it’s okay. Finally, the hotel is a bit aged but it has a good vibe and a good feeling for the area that it’s not all modern, so I like they’re keeping the old tradition in there. Finally if you are using Vodafone there is no Mobile phone reception at the hotel but I think they told that EE works. .🤓"

"I'd stayed in a room at YHA Brecon Beacons before and loved it - this was my first experience of a) staying in a land pod and b) staying under covid restrictions. Everything about the 3 night stay far exceeded our expectations. The staff have clearly worked exteremely hard to ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable time. We received a warm welcome and were given concise guidance on how things operate. The pod and the bathrooms were spotless, the booking system for showers and for takeout meals was efficient and the food was fantastic (as always). The pod itself was brilliant, and although initially it looked small, there is plenty of storage space, the beds are comfortable and the insulation means you get a quiet and warm night's sleep. The firepit was an unexpected pleasure; sitting by the fire, watching the stars was a delight. The location of the hostel is perfect for some very scenic and fairly challenging walking routes without the need to use a car. If you've not been here before, give it a go - it's great value and well worth a visit!"
