Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka´an - Adults Only - All Inclusive

We recently stayed at Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an and overall had a fantastic experience. The rooms are lovely, and the service is absolutely outstanding — the staff simply cannot do enough for you. Drinks were sometimes a little strong, but always enjoyable, and the restaurants across the resort are beautiful. On day three our bed broke, but it was replaced within just a couple of hours, which shows how efficient and attentive the staff are. We also celebrated our anniversary during our stay, and the team at Tequila Restaurant went above and beyond — our table was beautifully decorated and I ordered a cake for four people, which turned out to be one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever had. It really made our evening special. We spent many days at the infinity pool, which was brilliant and very relaxing. The only downside was when the seaweed removal started — unfortunately, the smell was quite overpowering and did take away from the experience a little. The biggest issue for us, however, was the mosquitos. Even with repellent, I had too many bites to count. While this obviously isn’t the hotel’s fault, it was unpleasant enough that it would stop me from staying here again. That said, I would happily consider the sister hotel, Akumal, for a future trip, as the service, food, and staff across the Bahia Principe chain is excellent.

As customers who have been staying here since 2022, we were completely disappointed with our stay this time around. We love this place so much, that my wife and I decided to spend our honeymoon here. Unfortunately that was a big mistake. To start our room was not serviced everyday and when it was our sheets and towels were hard and dingy. With this being our honeymoon we requested the hotel’s honeymoon package. We received nothing. The buffet has always been one of the highlights of our stay. This time it wasn’t even close. The lady at the omelette station had such an awful attitude. She truly soured our appetites with her demeanor and lack of joy. Our favorite waiter Ramon was always able to salvage our mornings, and honestly without him, I’m not sure what good I would have to say. The food during dinner at the buffet was comical. Most of it was cold and or over cooked. The options were slim and overall the food just wasn’t good or presentable. While I understand down times and changes I was honestly disappointed that our little hidden treasure has changed so much. We decided to check out early and move to another hotel. The receptionist that we checked out with offered us nothing but an apology and after four years of service that felt like a slap in the face. Overall this was a zero outta ten experience!
