Loved this place. I went alone & still had a great time. A nice slice of heaven. Snorkeling from the beach was difficult due to current & rocky bottom. Guides are available for a price. Very lush. I liked the restaurants.

My partner and I have come here on our honeymoon. As someone who does little international traveling, and has never gone the “all-inclusive” route, this trip meant a lot. We did extensive research to find a place both affordable and accommodating, while not feeling like we were on a golf course. This hotel has it all. It’s the perfect distance from Cancun, offering a scenic drive and more relatability to the area. The resort is beautiful. Like truly, awe-struck. Iguanas reside in the grass, you’re surrounded by tropical botanicals, like seriously it’s Mexico. And the BEACH, white sand, palm trees. The food has been amazing and way above our class. The staff are friendly and helpful, housekeeping is top tier. If you’re considering booking for an intimate trip with your partner, the personal jacuzzi on your balcony is the cherry on top. Clean, delicious, real, this place is the “all-inclusive” of someone who prefers real culture and views dreams. It’s perfect, and if ever planning a second or third trip to Mexico, we have no doubt that we’d book here again.

My parents and I returned home last night from a one week stay at this resort. They are in their late 60s, I am 36. We went the first week of April and are visiting from Ontario Canada. This is my sixth time to the Mayan area and my parents first. The moment we arrived at the resort, there was staff ready to take our bags and give us a warm welcome with hot towels. Kevin at the check in desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our room wasn’t quite ready so they had a staff member show us around the resort and where to get food incase we were hungry. I have been to approximately 18 all inclusive resorts and this one has the most friendly and attentive staff I have ever seen. This is a smaller resort with 4 buildings and around 350 rooms (maybe less). I read reviews saying that buildings 3 and 4 were the best and newly renovated, However we were in building 1 room 1002 and had the best room in the entire resort in my opinion. The inside of our room was not updated, but was incredibly clean and had everything you needed. Our patio was steps to the sand/ocean. The staff was constantly walking up and down the beach and to our patio asking if we wanted drinks. Delfina was incredibly friendly and we enjoyed seeing her daily. Our room was close to the smaller infinity pool, which was empty most of the time and felt like our own private pool. There was always empty lounge chairs/beds available, no need to wake up early and try to save them. Unfortunately, the entire week we were there the wind was very strong and the beach had lots of seaweed. They work hard daily to try to clean it up daily but unfortunately they are fighting a loosing battle with how fast and how much was coming in. This isn’t the resorts fault of course, just disappointing because we picked this area because they have great snorkelling and usually a beautiful beach. The best place to enter the water/ swim was right in-front of our room. There was not a single person in the water in-front of buildings 3-4. The water is incredibly rocky there. We walked down the beach to the Lolha restaurant, cut through, stayed right on the road and went to Yal Ku Lagoon one day to snorkel. It was great, cost 300 pesos or 20 USD to get in and we saw lots of fish. It was approximately 40 minutes to walk, or $25 for a taxi. I would say the food at this resort was average. The buffet has the basics like most all inclusive resorts. You wont starve, but the food does get repetitive in the buffet. The snack bar has pizza, hot dogs, chicken, nachos. The staff was always attentive. We always got a warm welcome from Luiz in the buffet. We tried all the a la carte restaurants. They have 4 on this resort. Our fave’s were Kobeen and Lima. Again, the staff were super attentive and felt like we we’re truly in fine dining restaurants. They brought a welcome cocktail at each restaurant. The chocolate bomb dessert at Kobeen was delicious and a great presentation. There was an outdoor sushi bar facing the ocean

The Kids Club with Carla and Myra was excellent for my seven year-old. She went for 6 days and absolutely loved making abundant crafts, feeding the iguanas, frosting cupcakes, and on “chill days” she watched movies. Sometimes she was the only child there, usually there were just three children, and one day there were 11 children. Most days they had a pool party and she made new Canadian friends. Although it was a small space, I was impressed by the skills of the Kids Club teachers. They understand developmentally appropriate practice and were nurturing and caring. Carla graduated from Mexico City’s Kindergarten Teacher University. As a professional educator myself, I was confident my child was in good hands at the Kids Club. I never feared for her safety or happiness there. The yoga, fitness (aquatic and Latin Dance), and meditation classes I attended were delightful. The instructors were exceptional. I found the palapa where the yoga/meditation classes were held to be lovely filled with natural ocean sounds. Half of my group was pursuing scuba certification at the onsite dive shop. They were very pleased with their diving experiences. Emelia, the dive instructor, is excellent with teenage divers. Staff at this resort were friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect family vacation destination. Lots of kid-friendly food and a chance for parents to relax.

Hello I’ll keep this as brief as possible Room We stayed in building 2 ,which is being renovated. We would have not notice if you didn’t see the odd worker . They kept noise to a minimum and we were not disturbed at all . The room was nice but dispute informing the staff the toilet was leaking from the tank . It was not addressed and we had to lay towels to sop up the water everyday . Our room had the most incredible view and it would take more than a leaking toilet to get us to change rooms. Although the room was air conditioned I joked with my sister it was a sticker on the thermostat and not the actual temperature. We opened our door and enjoyed the sea breeze , way more effective than the air conditioner. Food Although the buffet was repetitive there was plenty of variety and it was fresh. The restaurants are hit and miss . The Mexican restaurant we had an amazing meal the first time . Order the same meal a few days later and it was inedible, burnt and not prepared the same as the identical dish prior. The grill was disappointing. I think they are still working out the bugs from a remodel. Or maybe short staffed that day . Sushi is a must try as well as the gourmet. Drinks are also hit and miss , inconsistent. I had margarita. That was so bad I could not drink it . But order at the lobby lounge and it was what I expected. Also the staff was attentive and focused on their tasks. But indifferent to us. Not looking up and smiles seems forced. When we tipped it was barely acknowledged and slipped into their pockets was a nod . We brought some games and spent our evenings in the lobby bar listening to the band and relaxing . Beach Really the highlight of the trip. You have to grab your towel the day before and get to the beach by 7am to get a lounger . You need to be early anyways to see the best fish and turtles . During the day there is still fish but first thing in the morning they are spectacular. The world is still full of stupid people that don’t understand the reef is endangered or they just don’t care . They should consider banning long flippers and setting up something so people take it seriously not to disturb the environment and respect it . I seen some actions that personally enraged me. Excursion We used the colltebos to get around . This let us get to our destination ahead of the tour buses and we literally had the places to ourselves to explore. Also much more cost effective than the tours . In closing we would definitely come back again. Your vacation is what you make of it . So the small issues mentioned do not outweigh the incredibly experience we had . The setting is incredible, vibe overall is relaxing and inviting. It’s so easy to just sit back and enjoy this place
