I had a fantastic stay at Bannisters by the sea. It is probably the best option in the area. Restaurant by Rickstein offers freshly made Australian cuisine. Cocktails are delicious too.

Always an enjoyable place to stay, including in the colder months when less people stay there. Watching the sun rise over the horizon early morning, is every photographers dream moment. Breakfast in the mornings is a must...the views, the coffee, the eggs Benedict, what a perfect way to start the day. Will definitely be returning many more times...

We stayed with friends and unfortunately found the three nights underwhelming. The rooms were not cleaned properly each day- bed was made and towels changed - but it was not vacuumed and glasses went unwashed. The beds however were very comfortable. The design of the toilet in the shower is very odd and the smell of mildew evident in bathroom. We kept the fan on for the whole of our stay. Plastic chairs on balcony were uncomfortable and well below what you would expect at this price. Restaurant meal was excellent for our dinner but let down with an average breakfast. I would advise to book dinner in the restaurant but stay elsewhere.

We recently spent two nights at Bannisters by the Sea, Mollymook. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is something special! The staff were absolutely beautiful - warm, friendly & genuinely attentive. Their Hospitality was effortless & sincere. The setting itself is breath taking. We stayed in an First floor luxury suite with uninterrupted sea views. Interiors were modest & tasteful. But the true stand out was the Food! Every meal was fantastic. All 3 venues had something different to offer which was great. And the courtesy shuttle between their 2 Hotels was much appreciated! We left feeling relaxed & spoilt - We will be back!

The views are incredible - staff at reception and restaurants are just lovely very attentive - quiet romantic getaway well needed - can't wait to go back. Surrounding beaches are sunning and a close walk, Milton is a beautiful idyllic town close by.

The team were wonderful, friendly helpful and efficient, particularly the waiter who greeted and seated us for dinner and on duty the next morning at breakfast. She was happy and clearly loves her job. Sadly, we didn’t grab her name. We came to unwind and rest but sadly found our room overlooking the pool a little too noisy and lacking privacy. The location is wonderful; however, I feel this hotel is hugely overpriced compared to other hotels in the same bracket.

Really disappointing stay at Bannisters by the Sea. It was tired, worn around the edges and dated. The building looked like a ‘70s motel. Take a plug with you for you phone as no usb sockets!! The pool was absolutely stunning and very clean. The staff were very friendly although there seemed to be a lack of anyone in overall charge. The bedsheets were ok but the duvet and pillows were not great quality and not what we expected at this level of £££ Molly Mook is a stunning area with breathtaking beaches and coastline. I’d definitely go to the area again but would not return to Bannisters

You are spot on WiltshireWonderer, we reinvented a 70's motel and over the years we have grown the property to not just have our stunning Ocean Deluxe Rooms but also our gorgeous Corner Suites above the Pool Bar By the Sea which give you panoramic views of Narrawallee to Mollymook. We didn't stop there Though! We built our pristine Collette Dinnigan suites which give a nod to coastal luxury and a Hamptons feel which we have carried through to 90% of our bathrooms now. If you are feeling like the ultimate indulgence and want to splurge with a special someone or with a group of friends then our Cameron Kimber Penthouse will not disappoint! So we are always looking to improve and we love feedback so again, a big thank you from the team and I to you! Ultimately, what really warms the cockles of our hearts is to know that guests found our staff friendly. We do hope to see you again in Mollymook, if not in our rooms then hopefully again in one of our fabulous restaurants, Rick Stein, the Rooftop Bar & Grill, Pool Bar, or in our serene Day Spa by the Sea. Have stayed many times and it never disappoints. Falling asleep to the sound of the sea is magic. This time we splurged and stayed in a suite - room 33 which was amazing. We also had dinner twice at the on site restaurant ( see separate review) and loved it. The staff were all great which speaks volumes at a time when many venues struggle to get and retain good hospitality staff.

We were booked into Bannisters Pavillon and decided it would be more convenient to upgrade to by the sea. There is no receptionist or any assistance available between 8.00pm and 9.00am. On arrival we checked in only to find there is no help with baggage. Our room was fine. At the pool there is no attendant and you are expected to take your own sunbed mattress from the store room. Fortunately in the high wind one of the staff from the pool bar gave us assistance. The area between Rick Steins and the pool was very tired and not clean. This is a very expensive hotel and needs to improve its customer service .

The staff were great, very kind, and the view/location was amazing. The food was amazing, the car park has plenty of room, and the bar and pool area is fantastic. However, the bathroom was not clean enough, specifically the shower and bath. The room as a whole wasn’t finished to a standard that deserved $1k per night. The lamp shades were stained, the paint of the walls was clearly old and chipped, the wifi router in the top corner of the room flashed a bright light all night, and the outside furniture was old and tatty.

Service was lovely. View was wonderful and beach only a short walk. Dining at Rick Stein Restaurant on the property will remain memorable
