Xi'an Qinglanju

I had a great night here. Ladies at the reception were always helpful and thoughtful. I was even recommended a different room that was available at the same price ranger which was more quiet. Great service! The room was bit small, but cozy and big enough for one person. If you are travelling as a group of two I would probably recommend a different room. The breakfast was hearthful and delicious. Just a warning it is a bit hard to find. As a foreigner I would welcome detailed instructions or map pinpoint.

Beautiful & comfortable hotel. Convenient location, right in front of Huaqing Palace & very near to metro station. There's also a halal restaurant nearby (shoplot opposite Auntea Jenny).

I would firstly like to say that the first half of my review is for the room we actually booked and did get to stay in for the first night before we were requested to move to another room for the second night (with the reason that it was needed for a private event) which we were informed would be adjacent and would be of a similar comfort level. It turned out that the room we were moved to was in a different hotel next door with a 2 diamond rating on Trip (compared to the 3 diamond rating of this hotel) called "Tang Dynasty Twelve Districts Guesthouse Hotel (Huqin Pool Metro Station)" that has a lower rating at present of 9.3/10. The hotel itself is at the top of a mall. It was difficult to locate the hotel and we figured out ourselves that the best way is to actually use the lift near the entrance of the mall that goes up to the Haidilao hot pot chain. The room itself is perfectly adequate and was as advertised, albeit a bit tired. On the evening we checked in we were asked to change rooms the following day. I have put below the exact feedback I provided to the hotel owner to ensure there is transparency. They have responded and seem sincere in their apologies but I do recommend future guests take our room experience into consideration. "Good evening. I do have some feedback I would like to offer about the room we were moved to. It was not an appropriate replacement room as it was not at the same comfort level of our original room. I would recommend not moving any of your guests to this other hotel in future. There were dried urine stains on the toilet seat, the room was incredibly noisy and facing the street, the neighbour was smoking throughout the night making the room smell of cigarette smoke which is dangerous for my husband and I who are asthmatics, then from the morning the room smelt of a very putrid smell intermittently. The TV was newly installed but had no remote. There was no WiFi as well. The AI assistant in our room activated and spoke every time our neighbours returned to their room. We cancelled our trip to Huaqing Palace in the morning as we wanted to leave the hotel quickly to our next hotel in the city centre. Also the breakfast was not the same as the previous day. I offer this advice in the hopes for future improvement for your future guests."
