Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, close to the train station and the city centre. The staff are all lovely and our room was beautiful with all the amenities we could need. Will definitely be staying again.

Such a fantastic location! The room was lovely bed really comfortable, bathroom really spacious. I would suggest a fridge in the room for the milk, keep in a chill flask not ideal. Breakfast was lovely lots of choices. Loved the outside area for food and drinks. Staff warm and welcoming. Would stay again.

I stayed here with my daughter on Mother’s Day Sunday. We had a twin courtyard room which was nice but spoilt by the overwhelming smell of smoke when we entered the room. The lady who showed us to the room did offer to move us but they didn’t have another twin so we stayed put. It really was awful though even after several sprays of perfume and an open window. We slept ok despite the fact that is situated on a main street but I would guess that weekends are much noisier. Breakfast was nice in the morning and all the staff friendly and accommodating. It’s in a great location, about a ten minute walk from the station and minutes from York Minster. We ate at Nola which is just over the road but Miller and Carter and Tomahawk steakhouse are also just a stones throw away. Despite the room I would stay again and would recommend

We were on a day trip to York and found this place, by chance, for brunch. The staff were very helpful and we ordered bacon and sausage rolls and tea. Everything was piping hot and where we sat inside, very quiet. We would definitely return when in York again.
