The location is incredibly convenient, with a tram stop right at the entrance, making transportation a breeze. The room itself is quite spacious and comes with a balcony, offering pleasant views of the pool and even a glimpse of the coastline. The in-room fridge was a big plus, very handy for storing drinks or snacks. Service was also excellent; the room was cleaned daily, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. All in all, I was very satisfied.
Beautiful hotel clean rooms and helpful staff. Pools stunning and the lush garden on outside of pool area very Zen. Close to Star can use their pools to whilst staying at Dorsett. Dorsett has beautiful decore turquoise
and gold colour tones and art very elegant vibe. The buffet breakfast was great varied array of hot n cold to choose from for breakfast and VIP Lounge food they offer outstanding . Overall been here several times will keep visiting bringing friends n family we have all stayed here and loved our time at DORSET.

We stayed on a high floor, and the views from the hotel were absolutely stunning! The kitchen was a fantastic amenity, allowing us to cook our own meals, which we really appreciated. The in-unit washer and dryer were incredibly convenient, allowing us to do laundry whenever needed.
One minor issue was that the duvet cover and the duvet itself often separated, creating a tangled mess.
Unfortunately, a small blanket my son brought with him went missing. We suspect it was accidentally bundled up and taken away by housekeeping when they tidied the bed one day. It wasn't found by check-out. I've already reported this to the front desk and also emailed customer service. I sincerely hope to hear an update soon, as it's a pink blanket with white bunny patterns.
The room was well-proportioned and thoughtfully laid out. We were assigned a high floor, which provided direct sea views from the window. While we couldn't specify a king or twin room at the time of booking, the front desk staff promptly resolved this upon our arrival to our satisfaction. The hotel's biggest advantage is its incredibly convenient location. It's only a few hundred meters from the beach, with the tram station right downstairs, making travel exceptionally easy. The Q1 Skypoint Observation Deck is also directly opposite, which is a great bonus! Additionally, there are restaurants conveniently located downstairs, and the hotel offers a comprehensive range of facilities.
It was a last minute booking we made (secured the deal for the last available room at that price) and it was the best decision we made! We had to leave our airbnb due to room cleanliness concerns.
Really great central location and lovely room, with great amenities. We enjoyed the proximity to shops nearby. The room size was suitable for up to 4 pax, along with the provision of amenities such as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The complimentary snacks and beverage packets provided in the room upon check-in were a great touch, and we even got a refill on the chips (they were a great hit with my friends) on our second day.
Thank you for providing a great and welcoming experience and I’ll be considering staying here should I visit Gold Coast again.
Having previously stayed at the Airline Beach Hotel, this time, with school holidays driving prices through the roof, I decided to give this place a try.
First, the positives: While not directly on the main street, there's a bus stop right outside, and a Coles supermarket and a few restaurants are just a few hundred meters' walk away, which makes up for not being in the livelier main area. The staff were also very welcoming. The pool area is beautiful, and on sunny days, the water color is simply delightful.
A few things to note: The rooms aren't large, so if room size is a major concern, keep that in mind. They have a rustic, holiday cottage style. One side of the room features a large glass panel, so those who value privacy will need to remember to draw the curtains. For environmental reasons, daily housekeeping isn't typically provided during your stay. If you need fresh towels or anything similar, you can just ask at the front desk.

Great Hotel in an excellent location.
The rooms are compact but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay.
I think the best thing was how clean everything was. They have daily housekeeping so the room is always smelling fresh and clean. Check in staff are so friendly and there is no waiting. This hotel has four elevators so you never wait very long to get to your room or downstairs. Even though there are no balconies the rooms have floor to ceiling windows so the views are spectacular. Everything you would expect was provided, kettle, cups glasses fridge shampoo , towels etc. I needed some extra pillows and they brought them straight up. Location wise you can't get much better with a Cole's supermarket just downstairs and Ibis Styles is walk to everything, very close to the Casino and Queen Street and short walk to South Bank as well as train and Bus stations. There are too many cafes and restaurants nearby to list. The Bed was very nice and comfortable and not too hard like many other Hotels. The shower was large and the air conditioner worked perfectly. We really like this Hotel and will definitely be back again. Thanks to The Hotel staff for doing such a good job.
This hotel boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to Chinatown, making it incredibly easy to find food. When I discovered the in-room hairdryer wasn't working, the front desk promptly brought a new one. Furthermore, the evenings were very peaceful, with no excessive noise. For guest safety, key card access is required to enter the lobby after 7 PM.

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! The lobby is grand and elegant, the room is spacious and bright, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a superb view. The bedding was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring I slept soundly until I naturally woke up. The bathroom features a convenient wet/dry separation, and all the toiletries are premium brands. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, proactively helping with our luggage and offering excellent recommendations for local restaurants. The breakfast spread was extensive, with a sophisticated and exquisitely prepared Chinese and Western buffet. The gym and swimming pool facilities are new, well-maintained, and were never crowded. The location is also incredibly convenient, within walking distance to the main shopping district and the metro station. It offers superb value for money, and I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserStaff , friendly and helpful. Great location. Unit clean and well appointed. Overnight parking s bit expensive, especially if your staying a few nights. $35 a night.
GGuest UserI was very satisfied. There is a shop near the hotel, which is very helpful. Due to its location, it is a place where you do not have to eat. The hotel employees are very nice.
GGuest UserHad to wait while one of our 2 rooms was made up but the room that was supposed to have been made up had only had the beds done. Toothpaste splattered across the bathroom mirror, toilet unscrubbed, no face washers, hand towel or bath mat though there were fresh towels on the beds.
The kitchen hadn't been done as there was no dish cloth or liquid for cleaning only 2 tea cups, no mugs and the fridge contained half eaten yoghurt, a full bag of grapes and a 1/4 of rotten watermelon its juices all crusted under it.
The well frosted freezer contained a partially eaten iceblock frosted into the freezer, obviously it had been there long enough to be frosted to it.
The kitchen had not been stocked with tea coffee sugar or most importantly for me milk (being a little fussy I bring my own tea and coffee)
I have doubts about if it was vaccumed due to the pills as several other items on the carpet. I mention the pills as we had young children with us.
The aircon remote had no batteries or back to it but we just swopped out the batteries for the T.V. remote
The cleaner sent to remedy this politely made it clear that she wasn't the one who'd made up the room. She cleaned the mirror restocked the face washers, hand towel and bath mat, removed the food from the fridge and freezer and upon request gave me a cloth for me to scrub off the crusted watermelon juice.
The beds were clean (I checked) with fresh sheets and comfortable. They were clear that they expected courtesy to others by not making alot of noise late at night or slamming doors. The pool area could have been cleaned. I don't know where the dirt came from but it was there when we arrived and still there when we left. The lobby chairs I wouldn't sit in, needed a good scrub with soap and water.
They unlocked the freezer at the Cafe late one night for us to buy ice cream. The staff were helpful and polite. The kids loved playing ping pong and swimming.
AAnonymous UserThe room rate is cheap. I booked a cheaper hotel because I had to get up early to catch the flight. The only drawback was that I was given a disabled room on the lower floor. I had to get up early the next day so I didn't ask for a room change. The floor was high and I could smell the fumes from the restaurant downstairs. I recommend booking a room on a higher floor.

Very Good
CChih minWe stayed in the hotel for three days(7/7-7/10). On the first day, no one came to clean the room. We thought we needed to notify the service counter to arrange cleaning. On the second day, we used the ”cleaning notification” button on the phone in the morning, but no one came to clean the next day. On the third day, we reported it to the service counter in the morning, and they said they would arrange for a cleaning staff. As a result, when we returned to the room on the third night, we found that it was still not cleaned (this was the first time we were deceived). So we called the service counter again, hoping that at least they could change the bath towels for us to use. The service counter staff replied that they would ask someone to bring us clean bath towels, but they did not keep their promise in the end. We were deceived again.
AAnonymous UserHad a wonderful stay at cairns queen court! All the staff were super friendly. They always try their very best to help with our questions and provide suggestions to our trip planning! However, beware of the morning (ard 6:30am) house keeping if you wanna sleep in~ overall, I enjoyed staying there and had lot of fun in Cairns!
SScottttxThe best location for sure. All you need is nearby. And we had the room facing the church the view was nice. Gym and rooftop was not open during the stay, due to the rain? Maybe

Very Good
GGuest UserThe location is really good! You can walk anywhere, buy groceries at the mart right in front, and cook at the shared restaurant.
The staff are all friendly, the bedrooms are ethnic, and the facilities are not bad!
The downside is that the shower room smells a bit like a sewer, and the fire alarm often goes off, so we have to evacuate as a group....
PPHILLIP JAMESThe Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.
HHydenI loved my stay 😊 it was so pretty and clean. The lady at the front was really polite and help full. Great place to stay every things so close and a beautiful view.
