Ananuri Fortress

Ananuri Fortress An old fortress in Georgia, built in the 13th century, designed with tall and strong towers to serve as a refuge during times of war. The old fortress is surrounded by walls and is located on the Aragvi River. Inside, there are two churches, the church of the Virgin, and a large square tower, which provides a beautiful view of the area below from the top of the fortress, including the Zhinvali Reservoir and a dam, which are important for storing water to be sent to the capital and to generate electricity, providing Tbilisi with water for drinking and use.
