Lake Michigan as seen in Chicago

Lake Michigan is one of the Five Great Lakes in the United States and is next to Lake Superior in terms of volume, and third in terms of surface area. The lake borders four states, namely Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana and Illinois. I had the chance to see the lake in all states, but the one it was named after, Michigan. The view from each side is different, but I particularly love the one by the Illinois border, specicifically by Chicago Yacht Club in Chicago. The calm and peaceful waters of the lake gives you an instant break from Chicago's busy and fast-paced Magnificent Mile. The almost endless horizon and the seemingly unfathomable depths also provide a good contrast to Chicago's towering skyline of different heights. The lake also provides a perfect reflection as the water mirror's the Windy City's lights at night. Come and heed to the call of the water.
