Sissi's favorite cafe in Fussen

#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck Konditorei Kurcafe is an old cafe and pastry shop of Hotel Schlosskrone in Fussen. This shop has a history dating back to 1896 and has been taken care of by the family for over a hundred years. In the beginning, it was famous in Hohenschwangau Palace and was a favorite pastry shop of the royal family, including Empress Sissi. At that time, the shop created a special dessert menu for her, "Sissi Cake", which is still available to order today. For us, we went during the hot weather and wanted to eat something with refreshing fruits, so we didn't try the Sissy Cake. Instead, we ordered 2 cakes from the cabinet. One was a sponge cake with berries topped with meringue, and the other was a cake with fresh strawberries. Both cakes had good textures: light but not dry. The overall taste was just the right amount of sour and sweet. Ordering coffee to sip on was perfect. This shop is located halfway between the old town and the train station, making it very convenient to stop by. The atmosphere in the shop is an ancient building. The furniture and decorations look beautiful and classic. It feels like going back in time to the Austrian Empire.
