Accommodation Guide: I’m very picky when it comes to hotels, so I compared many options before the trip. If you’re traveling to Guangzhou, this list covers everything you need! Luxury Hotels (MYR 700–1,200 per night) (Ranked in order) • Hotel Indigo (Haixinsha area) • Jumeirah (Near Guangdong Museum) • Ritz-Carlton (Near Guangdong Museum) • Rosewood (Near Guangdong Museum) • Park Hyatt (Near Guangdong Museum) • Conrad (Near Guangdong Museum) Mid-Range Hotels (MYR 300–600 per night) • Mercure (Beijing Road branch) – Right across from Tianhe City Shopping Mall • Atour S Hotel (Beijing Road branch) • CityNote Xinuo Hotel (Highly recommended: Xindaxin or Dafosi branches) • Both are newly opened! • Xindaxin branch: Next to Mayflower Shopping Plaza • Dafosi branch: Quieter environment • Ji Hotel (Quanji Hotel) • YiZhi Hotel (Yizhi Hotel) Where to Stay Based on Your Travel Style: • For shopping: Stay near Yongqingfang or Beijing Road • For luxury experience: Stay near Haixinsha or Guangdong Museum • For local culture: Stay in Yongqingfang, Yuexiu District, or Wuyangcun • Avoid Haizhu District – It’s quite far and doesn’t have much to offer, so I didn’t research it. Since I was traveling with my parents, convenience and comfort were the top priorities. If you’ll be out exploring all day, a mid-range hotel offers the best value.
