Candeo Hotels Handa: Standard Queen Room with Breakfast

Located in Handa City, Aichi Prefecture, about 30 minutes by express train from Nagoya, Candeo Hotels Handa is part of the Candeo Hotels chain. Like other branches, it features a Sky Spa (artificial hot spring) on the top floor. Handa City has two train stations: JR Handa Station and Meitetsu Handa Station, which are about a 10-minute walk apart. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from Meitetsu Handa Station. Train sounds can be heard clearly from the rooms. I checked in around 11 PM. I had booked the most basic room, the Standard Single, but was upgraded to a Standard Queen Room on the top floor. All rooms are 15–16 square meters, so the upgrade mainly meant a larger bed and a higher floor, with the room size remaining the same. The rooms are divided into two corridors, and I was assigned a room with a view facing Meitetsu Handa Station. The Sky Spa offers views of the Handa Akarenka Warehouse. Since my flight on the fourth day was at 10 AM, I went to bed around midnight and woke up at 5 AM to start my day. I visited the hot springs in the morning. At 5 AM, it feels like having a private bath. After getting ready, I went for a walk. The Akarenka Warehouse is about 700 meters away, a 10-minute walk. I spent about an hour exploring Handa City. I returned to the hotel at 6:30 AM for breakfast. The menu included dishes like chicken stew, similar to the offerings at Candeo Matsuyama. The room design and Simmons beds are also consistent across locations. It seems the conditions are standardized everywhere. I checked out at 7:10 AM. There’s a bus stop just a 2-minute walk away, with a bus departing at 7:13 AM. It takes about 35 minutes to reach Tokoname Station. From there, Chubu Airport is 5–7 minutes away, with express trains taking one stop and regular trains taking two stops. Thank you.
