🌿 A museum in the middle of a humid forest! 🌧️

#HangzhouTravel In a big city full of people and tall buildings like Hangzhou (杭州), I didn't expect that there would be a quiet place, full of trees, water and the sound of birds, not far from the hustle and bustle of the city. That place is "Xixi Wetland Museum" or in Chinese 西溪湿地博物馆, located in the Xixi National Wetland Park - 西溪国家湿地公园. This is not just an ordinary museum, but a real-life ecological learning place located in the middle of a large natural wetland that is still very complete. Inside the museum, there are exhibits about the ecosystem of wetlands, various animals, seasonal changes and the way of life of the people who used to live in this area. The exhibition has both simulation images, sounds, lights and interactive media that are very interesting. Especially for children or people who are interested in the environment, they will learn without realizing it. I personally like the zone that talks about "Seasonal Migration Birds" that simulates the atmosphere of a humid forest. There are sounds of water, crickets and shadows of trees, making you feel like you are really in nature. When leaving the building I could also continue my walk on the Xixi Wetland nature trail, which was filled with willows, bamboos, and wooden boats floating quietly along the canals. It was such a beautiful view that I had to take a picture of it every few steps. If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and are looking for a place that is both peaceful, educational, and full of nature in Hangzhou, I highly recommend “西溪湿地博物馆”.
