【Causeway Bay】U Izakaya: A Birthday Lunch at a Japanese Izakaya

Went to U Izakaya in Causeway Bay with friends to celebrate a birthday🎉. We ordered 3 lunch sets, including cod fillet with sea urchin sauce spaghetti🍝, minced chicken with pesto penne🍗, and beef sukiyaki with udon🍜. Each set came with bread, salad, and a choice of soup or soda🤩. The two types of pasta and the penne were uniquely paired, with rich sauces that were flavorful without being too heavy, striking a perfect balance that was memorable😋. I particularly appreciated their beef sukiyaki with udon; the portion of beef🥩 was more generous than many similar restaurants, and the sweetness of the sauce combined with the fragrance of green onions created an irresistible taste🤤. A friend also specially ordered a cheesecake🍰 as a birthday surprise for our friend, and the restaurant wrote birthday greetings on the plate🥳, even lighting a candle for the birthday wish.
