A Tropical Dream at The Ice Cream & Cookie Co.

With temperatures soaring to 35°C today, cooling off is a must! Enjoying ice cream has become one of my favorite indulgences lately—each bite brings refreshing comfort and pure delight. The Ice Cream & Cookie Co. in Central has become my go-to ice cream spot recently. So, after dinner nearby, I headed straight there for a sweet treat. As soon as you step into the shop, you'll notice their signature cookies! This time, they even have new flavors that I just had to try. Moving further in, you'll find the ice cream display! The staff warmly encourages everyone to sample the flavors before choosing their favorite—so nice! We quickly picked out our preferred cookie and ice cream flavors to create a custom ice cream sandwich. Additionally, we chose another ice cream flavor to share. Then, we headed upstairs to the cozy seating area to enjoy our treats leisurely. First up was a scoop of Coffee Chocolate Crunch ($58). The balance between coffee and chocolate flavors was perfect—not overly sweet—and the crunchy bits added texture, making it even more satisfying. For the ice cream sandwich, I chose Kaya Pandan Cookie x Caramel Crunch Cookie paired with White Peach Oolong Tea Ice Cream ($89). The Kaya Pandan Cookie had a chewy texture and a distinct Southeast Asian flair, while the Caramel Crunch Cookie was rich with enticing caramel aroma. The large scoop of White Peach Oolong Tea Ice Cream combined tea and fruity notes beautifully, creating a layered and delightful taste experience. Seeing the menu introduce this new series, "A Tropical Dream in the City," I couldn't resist trying more. White Peach Oolong Milk Cap ($69)! Made with oolong tea, white peach, and a milk cap, it features a gradient peachy hue that's visually stunning. The creamy milk cap complements the subtle peach aroma and tea flavor, delivering a refreshing and enchanting taste. Pandan Kaya French Toast with Coconut Ice Cream ($119)! The soft French toast infused with fragrant pandan flavor is topped with a scoop of coconut ice cream and drizzled with Malacca palm sugar syrup. The combination of hot and cold creates a smooth, sweet, and irresistible treat. The shop has also launched its first-ever ice cream mooncake gift box, "Golden Straits Moonlight." Featuring jewel-toned packaging paired with gold-rimmed porcelain and gilded utensils, it exudes elegance. The mooncake flavors include Pandan Coconut, Mango Pomelo, Rich Chocolate, and Red Berry Cookie, with two pieces of each flavor. Perfect for gifting or personal enjoyment, it's definitely worth considering. The ice cream mooncake gift box is priced at $888 and will be available in limited quantities from August 1 to October 10 at the Central flagship store and selected retail locations. From now until August 31, you can even purchase it at an early bird price of $688.
