Deogyusan National Park, Hike, Freeze, Repeat (But Worth It)

#summervacay Spent a day at Deogyusan National Park and my legs still hurt, but I’m not mad about it. Took one of the trails up to Hyangjeokbong Peak and yeah, it was a climb. Not super intense, but enough to make me question life choices halfway up. That said, the views? Absolutely wild. Forests, misty valleys, and those rolling mountain ridges that go forever. Felt like I was in some Korean fantasy drama. If you go in the colder months, fair warning: it gets cold. Like, face-numb, breath-cloud cold. But everything’s covered in this magical frost that makes it feel like you’re walking through a snow globe. Unreal. Also, stopped by Muju Resort nearby for a warm drink and some food after the hike, 10/10 decision. Honestly, Deogyusan's underrated. Not too crowded, super scenic, and just enough challenge to make you feel accomplished. Would 100% go again, maybe with better snacks next time.
