Colorful Birds, but Not Worth the Price – Be Careful with Kids!

We recently visited the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, expecting an open-space experience, as advertised – “world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary.” Unfortunately, most birds were inside cages, and there was netting above. Two major zones were closed during our visit, which was disappointing. 💸 Tickets are RM85 for adults and RM60 for children – honestly, too expensive for what you get. It felt more like a zoo than a free-flight park. 🐦 Be cautious with children: at the entrance, I was suddenly bitten by a parrot (it sat on my shoulder and started to bite everything could catch) – hard enough to draw blood. A surprising and painful welcome! Use spray, there are mosquitoes. ☕ The on-site café was decent, with a small but refreshing menu. The souvenir shop had cute bird-themed gifts and toys. Overall, it’s a colorful place, and bird lovers might enjoy it, but manage your expectations and be careful around the birds. 🕰️Business Hours: Open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, including weekends and public holidays.
