Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia

One of the largest museums of Islamic art in Malaysia is located next to the Kuala Lumpur railway station. The 4-storey building has 12 exhibition halls and galleries. The design was done by Iranian designers. The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia has 7,000 exhibits. Among them are ancient lists of the Koran, handwritten interpretations of the holy book, collections of weapons, jewelry, metal and ceramics. In the hall visitors will see skillfully executed model of the Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca. In other halls visitors will find art of Malaysia, China, India and the Ottoman Empire.
