Haigeng Dam: In winter, red-billed gulls from Siberia create a spectacular and awe-inspiring sight.

Haigeng Dam is located next to Dianchi Lake, offering views of Xishan Mountain. Every winter, flocks of seagulls fly from distant Siberia, creating a magnificent and harmonious scene. Buy some bird food, stretch out your hand, or place it on the platform, and the intelligent seagulls will come down to eat. This trip to Southwest China started with a high-speed train from Chongqing to Kunming. I first checked in to the InterContinental Kunming, which has an excellent location on the shore of Dianchi Lake, overlooking Xishan Mountain. A ten-minute walk will take you to Haigeng Dam and the Dianchi Lake seagull viewing spot. It was during the Lunar New Year holiday, and it was snowing in Kunming, making it the perfect season to see the seagulls. It's so beautiful and my third time visiting Kunming. Last time, I mainly visited the Xishan Scenic Area, Longmen Grottoes, and Kunming Old Street. This time, I mainly visited the Yunnan Provincial Museum, Yunnan Nationalities Village, and the Ancient Town of Guandu. The changes are too great. I vaguely remember the first time I came to Kunming, the Grand View Building Long Couplet and the shocking Dianchi Lake landscape: "The 500-mile Dianchi Lake rushes into view, and thousands of years of history pour into my heart. Raising a glass to the sky, half a river of fishing lights, two rows of autumn swallows, spring willows, and ten thousand acres of dark sand."
