Disney Wish Cruise: A First-Time Experience

My first-ever cruise trip was aboard the Disney Wish 🛳️. Although it was just a short four-day, three-night journey, the entire experience was filled with ceremony and fairy tale vibes. From the moment of booking, the official app displayed an adorable countdown screen, building excitement even before departure. 🌈 Day 1: Boarding & Exploring the Ship of Fun I recommend choosing the earliest boarding time slot. Once aboard, head straight to Deck 11 for a buffet lunch. Around 1:30 PM, your luggage will be delivered to your room, allowing you to rest briefly before heading out again! Don’t miss the open house at the Kids Club—it’s thoughtfully designed and even adults will envy the facilities 😍. On the deck, there’s a heated pool and a lively snack area offering unlimited free pizza, burgers, tacos, BBQ, ice cream, and drinks. Be sure to save some room in your stomach! 🌴 Day 2: Nassau Adventure Upon arriving in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, we opted for a free exploration mode, casually strolling around the pier and Atlantis Hotel. However, due to rain and the beach not meeting expectations, I’d actually recommend staying on the ship to enjoy its facilities. Time is limited, so making the most of the cruise experience is key! 🏝️ Day 3: Dreamy Castaway Cay Early in the morning, the cruise docked at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, which exclusively hosts one ship per day. The environment is pristine, and the facilities are well-organized. I joined the island’s hidden activity, the “5K Run,” which requires no registration—just show up and participate. After completing the run, you’ll receive a limited-edition medal 🏅! Post-run, I returned to the ship for a shower and changed into a dress. The afternoon was spent basking in the sun, enjoying the beach, snorkeling, and indulging in a BBQ buffet lunch. I didn’t want to leave! 🍽 Dining Tips on the Ship Breakfast/Lunch: You can choose between the à la carte restaurant on Deck 2 or the buffet on Deck 11. We opted for the buffet all three days—it’s quick and delicious. Dinner: The app will assign you a fixed restaurant and seating arrangement each night— 1️⃣ Marvel-themed restaurant: Features Spider-Man table-side interactions! 2️⃣ Frozen-themed restaurant: Includes theatrical performances! 3️⃣ 1923 restaurant: Retro and elegant, offering a formal dining experience. Each night brings a new surprise, with fresh ingredients and consistent quality. Highly recommended! 🛏 Accommodation Experience We stayed in a balcony room. Though compact, it was well-equipped with a separate wet and dry bathroom. The housekeeping staff was incredibly attentive, even folding towels into adorable animal shapes 🐘. 🎭 Entertainment Activities on Board Every evening features themed performances, with Aladdin being the highlight! During the day, Disney movies are screened, and you can meet and take photos with classic characters in the atrium. At night, there’s a Pirate Night party with fireworks at sea 🎆, creating an electrifying atmosphere. Everyone receives a Mickey-themed pirate bandana!
