Phimai Historical Park

The largest stone castle in Thailand is Phimai Historical Park, located in Nakhon Ratchasima province. This site highlights its historical significance as a central hub and a key gateway from the Mun River basin to the ancient city of Angkor in the Khmer Empire, as well as to settlements in the Chao Phraya River basin. Numerous ancient sites can be found both inside and outside the ancient city of Phimai, but the most notable is the Phimai Historical Park.
