Travel Guide to Qinghai Lake

Qinghai Lake is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Xining. On the way, you will pass by Daotang River, and in July, you can see fields of rapeseed flowers on the southern shore of Qinghai Lake. Local herders may charge a fee ranging from 10 to 50 yuan for visitors to enter the flower fields and take photos. The southern shore of Qinghai Lake features the Erlangjian Scenic Area, which is open to the public. This area offers various recreational activities, including sightseeing cars, large and small cruise ships, sailboats, speedboats, water bicycles, and hot air balloons. The Sand Island Scenic Area on the eastern shore is currently closed, while the Xianvwan Scenic Area on the northern shore and the popular Shengquanwan (Cliff) attraction are open.
