Admittedly, I had never heard of Khao Le before until a friend from another province recommended that I go. I only had to prepare for 1 day and let’s go! 🏃‍♂️ How to get there: You have to drive your own car. I recommend parking at the Kuan Im Shrine at Khao Le. Climbing the mountain: We left Hat Yai at 3 am and drove for about 50 minutes (because we got lost). We didn’t start walking until 4 am, which is a reasonable amount of time. I recommend wearing sneakers, a sports shirt (because you’ll definitely sweat a lot), a flashlight, and insect repellent because there are a lot of mosquitoes (x100). The entire way up the mountain is flat, you have to climb rocks, and cling to trees. It took us about an hour to walk. At first, I thought I would be one of the first people to go, but no, there were about 10 other tourists on the mountaintop. There are many photo spots on the mountain, both the rice fields and the mountaintops, but there is also fog.
