St. Gilgen: Mozart's Hometown Without the Pricey Tour! 🇦🇹

#summervacay We traveled from Wolfgang to St. Gilgen, and let me tell you, the guided boat tour charging €70 per person was a definite "no way"! 🙅♀️ That felt like daylight robbery! We decided to skip it and just took a car directly to St. Gilgen instead. Smart move! Walking along the serene lake into this incredibly quiet little town was simply beautiful. ✨ St. Gilgen is the birthplace of Mozart's mother, and Mozart himself lived here as a child. You can almost feel the history in the air. Even on a cloudy day with mist clinging to the mountains, it added a stunning, hazy beauty to the landscape. Many shops hadn't opened yet, but we saw locals walking their dogs, cyclists enjoying the quiet roads, and people sipping coffee. The houses here are so charming and diverse, with some even boasting lovely wall murals. Pictured here is the residence of Mozart's mother (Image 3). We also spotted a 24-hour self-service coffee shop, which is super convenient!
