From late April to early May every year, Hokkaido University is transformed into a pink fairy tale world. The cherry blossoms and classical buildings on campus complement each other, creating a picturesque scenery. Walking on the campus, the cherry blossom petals fall in the wind, as if you are in a dreamy cherry blossom snow, which is extremely romantic. The evening cherry blossoms "Yae Sakura" in front of the School of Medicine are layered and gorgeous. There are also rows of Somei Yoshino cherry trees extending along the road, forming a spectacular cherry blossom avenue. Whether you are riding or strolling among them, you can feel the full breath of spring. Here, you can have a picnic under the cherry trees, or find a bench to quietly admire the cherry blossoms and enjoy a relaxing time.
