3 Days in Seoul: Palaces, History & Stunning Views

Seoul is a city where ancient traditions meet modern life, and we got to experience it all—from grand palaces to the DMZ and breathtaking city views. Here’s how our trip went: Day 1: Royal Palaces & Korean History ✔️ Gyeongbokgung Palace – The most famous and grandest palace in Seoul. We watched the changing of the guard ceremony, which was really cool to see. If you rent a hanbok (traditional Korean clothing), you can even enter for free! ✔️ Changdeokgung Palace & Secret Garden – A UNESCO-listed palace with a beautiful, peaceful garden. The autumn and spring colors here are incredible. ✔️ National Museum of Korea – A great place to dive into Korean history and culture. The collection is huge, covering everything from ancient artifacts to modern art. Day 2: The DMZ – A Trip to the Border Visiting the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) was one of the most fascinating experiences of the trip. ✔️ Dorasan Observatory – We saw North Korea from here, which felt surreal. ✔️ Third Infiltration Tunnel – Walking through this secret tunnel dug by North Korea was both eerie and impressive. ✔️ Freedom Bridge – A historic spot symbolizing division and hope for reunification. Day 3: Modern Seoul & Breathtaking Views ✔️ Starfield Library – This stunning library inside COEX Mall is a must-see for book lovers and Instagram-worthy photos. ✔️ N Seoul Tower – The best panoramic view of Seoul! We took the cable car up to Namsan Mountain and saw the famous love locks at the top. Sunset is the best time to go. Tips for Visiting Seoul: ✔️ Use the subway – It’s fast, cheap, and well-connected. ✔️ Book a DMZ tour in advance – Spots fill up quickly, so plan ahead. ✔️ Try local food – Don’t miss bibimbap, Korean BBQ, and tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes). ✔️ Rent a hanbok – It makes the palace visits even more special! Seoul is a perfect mix of history, culture, and city vibes—definitely a place worth exploring! Would you visit? #seoultrip #dmztour #koreatravel
