Bongeunsa Temple Grounds

🔮 As you step inside Bongeunsa Temple and climb the stairs, you'll find a large Buddha statue that inspires reverence in all who visit. The temple grounds feature various spaces, which I explored and captured in photos. It's almost unbelievable that such a tranquil place exists in the heart of Seoul, surrounded by dense skyscrapers. Despite the hot weather, leaving behind the bustling streets of Gangnam and passing through the temple's entrance gate felt like stepping into a slower flow of time. 🪷 🌳 The temple's traditional dancheong (painted decorations) and the scent of incense provided a soothing atmosphere. Walking among blooming lotus flowers and listening to the gentle sound of the wooden gong made the worldly chaos feel distant, if only for a moment. Amidst the earnest expressions of worshippers and the smiling tourists taking photos in small groups, Bongeunsa Temple maintained its quiet dignity. What stood out most was the temple's effort to preserve its serene ambiance even in the midst of a modern urban setting. It felt less like a mere 'tourist attraction' and more like a genuine space for rest and reflection. 🍁
