The air was crisp, scented with sea salt and blooming flowers from window boxes. Locals were warm and always ready with a smile, adding to the cozy atmosphere. But what really moved me was Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). A short ferry and hike from the city, this towering cliff offers panoramic views of Lysefjord—a glassy ribbon of blue flanked by dramatic peaks. Standing at the edge, 600 meters above the water, time stopped. That moment of awe will stay with me forever. Back in the city, I was captivated by Stavanger’s creative energy.
