Terrassa City Hall took over its restoration in 1991, with the aim of preserving the city’s most important green space. Valparades is one of the largest urban parks in Catalonia and has had a huge impact on the urban development of the region. The park contains some very interesting buildings, such as the Visigothic-Romanesque quarter, which includes the Church of Sant Pere, the medieval bridge, the ancient Carthusian monastery of Valparades, the Gothic building of Mas de la Castlania, and numerous archaeological sites.
