CAFE BATAVIA

I went to CAFE BATAVIA, a famous cafe in Jakarta! The staff welcomed me, asked my name, and guided me to my seat and pulled out my chair. I went there just after 9:00 so it was empty, but after 10:00 people gradually came in and the seats by the windows gradually filled up. The person who took my order asked my name and was surprised that he called me by my name without any hesitation, but he was polite so as not to make me feel uncomfortable. It's hard to see in the photo, but I tried Jakarta's non-alcoholic Bir Pletok! It's a drink that looks similar to black tea with ginger and cinnamon, but it's different, and it's a taste that you can't get in Japan. It was delicious. I had a little breakfast, so I ordered Bitterballen, which the chef recommended. I was very happy and satisfied when both arrived at my seat. When I paid the bill, I was asked to pay at the table as expected. At first, I was worried because the payment didn't work properly with my credit card, but they quickly prepared another terminal and then the payment was completed without any problems, and I remember feeling relieved. I had seen many comments in the reviews saying that the prices were high, but considering the high quality of the service from each staff member, the attention to cleanliness, and the nice atmosphere of the restaurant, I thought the prices were reasonable. It was a special moment, like having a meal in a luxury hotel.
