Every time I looked up at Mount Fuji, I felt a sense of awe. The iconic Japanese peak and the blooming cherry blossoms formed a perfect contrast, showcasing the endless charm of nature. In a corner of the park, I found an ideal spot to sit down and enjoy my bento. In such a beautiful setting, the food seemed even more delicious. The fragrance of the cherry blossoms and the grandeur of Mount Fuji intertwined, making me feel incredibly content. This journey from Tokyo to Asama Park allowed me to deeply appreciate the perfect combination of cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji. Crowded, very very crowded especially I went during the peak season of sakura in April 2023. If you intend to take a good photo with both pagoda and Mt Fuji, you may have to queue for at least one hour (it was 3 hours for my time and I didn’t queue for it) or you reach the destination before 7am. Further, you have to be physically fit to climb the stairs which is about 400 steps up to the top of the pagoda view. The climb takes about 10-15 mins depends on individual’s fitness.

The weather in Tokyo has been unstable recently, with constant overcast skies and rain. Even today, it was windy and rainy when I went out. Thinking that since I'm already here (tourist mentality), I prepared myself to not see Mount Fuji 🗻. As expected, when I arrived at Arakurayama Sengen Park, after waiting for half an hour, dark clouds covered half of the mountain. I was a little disappointed. Then I went to the Ladder Town, and the wind slightly blew away the dark clouds, but I still couldn't see Mount Fuji. The third stop was Oshino Hakkai. This time it was amazing! The sun came out 🌅, and Mount Fuji was faintly visible with a bit of a creamy top. It was super stunning! I envy the people who live here and see Mount Fuji every day when they open their doors 🗻. If I could live in seclusion here, I would have no regrets. The fourth stop was Lake Kawaguchi Park ⛲️. I saw Mount Fuji from a different angle ⛰️. If I had enough time, I would rent a bike and cycle around the lake. The last stop was Lawson convenience store. Many people come here to take photos! Indeed, it's easy to take great photos when the weather is good, but it's hard to wait until there's no one in the background.
