#cherryblossom25 Art Me Hotel in Kunming boasts a fantastic location, just step away from eateries (including plenty of halal options) and major shopping malls. As fans of both food and shopping, we found this super convenient. What truly stood out was the hotel’s charming boutique vibe and its outdoor seating area along the pedestrian lane. It was lovely to sit under the shady trees, relax, and enjoy some casual people-watching. The room itself was just okay. Some of the shelves and furniture felt a bit tired. However, the bathroom and toilet were excellent, especially with features that cater well to guests who use bidets. There’s so much to explore around the hotel, but unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time. We’d love to return and see more !

Traveling to Yunnan, the hotels in Jianshui and Mile were booked long ago, but I was always hesitant about the last night in Kunming. Fortunately, I chose this homestay. First, let's talk about the location. It is located on Tongren Street, which is very convenient. As a photography enthusiast, I had the chance to shoot at the Nanqiang Night Market in the evening. The homestay itself has a café and bar, and there are various popular cafés around. Unfortunately, my appetite is limited, otherwise, I would have stayed a few more days to taste them all. The design concept of the homestay is very good, with the idea that the national is the world's. My favorite is the huge hanging paintings, which have a textured color palette. There are a total of 10 rooms: Blang, Jingpo, Hani, Naxi, Dulong, Yi, Lisu, Bai, Dai, and Wa. I stayed in the Naxi room. Speaking of the Naxi, I remembered a popular TV series "The Mu Mansion Storm", set during the reign of the Ming Shenzong, at the foot of Yulong Snow Mountain in western Yunnan, which was the residence of the hereditary Lijiang Tusi Mu family. The room highlighted the characteristics of the Naxi well, with seven-star lamps, Yulong Snow Mountain, Dongba script, tie-dye art... I really didn't have time, otherwise, I would have asked the owner to show me the other rooms. The facilities are also very good, with hot water coming out quickly. The butler service was in place, as Kunming was cold and damp that day, they turned on the air conditioning for us in advance, and also provided a complimentary white fungus soup in the evening. Let's talk about the small shortcomings: there is a bit of a lack of space to put things in the room, and the sliding track of the bed curtain has no stopper. Next time I come to Kunming, I will meet Amiyi Homestay again.

A friend came to Kunming for a visit and booked a homestay on Tongren Street. I thought homestays in the center of Kunming were all the same, but I was wrong. This homestay is located in the bustling city yet enjoys tranquility, and it has a lot to offer. From small decorations to large paintings, you can see the owner's dedication, which is why it's named ArtMe. 🏨＞ Kunming Ami Art Homestay The second and third floors of the homestay have 12 rooms named after Yunnan ethnic minorities, each with its own unique style. After touring a few empty rooms, the owner cleverly combined Yunnan ethnic characteristics with French romance. My friend booked a Dai-style room with a small balcony, where you can see the romantic French scenery of Tongren Street by opening the window. The room has large retro floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, surrounded by green trees, creating a forest atmosphere. The first floor is a coffee bar, where you can come and sit even if you're not staying at the homestay. I quite like their small literary style.
