🇺🇸New York Bryant Park Winter Village: A poetic ice and snow park in Manhattan in winter⛸️🎄
#February Good Places 2025
New York, the bustling urban heart, turns into a poetic paradise of ice and snow in the harsh winter - Bryant Park Winter Village. In the 1980s, the park underwent a 4-year renovation and was managed by the Bryant Park Corporation, which first launched Winter Village in 1997, combining ice events and holiday markets to become a cultural symbol of Manhattan’s winter months. In 2002, Bank of America sponsored Winter Village, which expanded to 17,000 square feet of free ice rinks, more than 170 holiday stalls and warm cabins, continuing through March 2025, showcasing the warmth and vitality of New York’s cold winter, especially under the Christmas lights, the shadows of the trees, like a fairytale world.
In the winter village, the ice rink shines quietly, skaters dance lightly on snow-white ice, festive markets line park paths, and handicrafts and food aroma; Temperatures were as low as 0 degrees Celsius that day, thick coats and hats were required to keep warm, hot chocolate was provided in indoor cabins, and careful slipping was required in the outdoor ice rink. Winter Village ends March 2, so feel free to explore this winter verse of Manhattan. It's really worth a try, has anyone been there? Share it with me! ⛸️🎄
