I have been to Chengdu several times and visited some places in and around the city. The People's Park, known for its 'Longmen Array' reputation, was my first visit. The weather was exceptionally good on the day I visited the People's Park, as most of the time during the May Day period, Chengdu was either raining or cloudy. On the day of the visit, the weather cleared up, and the sky mirror of sunny Chengdu was very beautiful. While experiencing the slow life of Chengdu, watching the ever-changing clouds was a very comfortable life! Chengdu People's Park is located at No. 12 Shaocheng Road, Citang Street, in the city center of Chengdu, covering an area of 112,639 square meters. It is the largest open scenic garden historical park in the bustling city center. In Chengdu People's Park, through in-depth communication, one can deeply feel that this is truly a 'people's park' and a rare century-old city garden. Originally named Shaocheng Park, Chengdu People's Park was established in 1911 and is one of the earliest modern parks in China, as well as the first modern park in Sichuan. In the third year of the Xuantong era of the Qing Dynasty (1911), General Yukun, who was stationed in Chengdu, consulted with Zhou Shanpei, the Sichuan Provincial Encouragement of Industry Road, to build a park on Citang Street to open up the city. Only the Bannermen were allowed to do business and make a living in the park, and park entrance fees were collected to allow people to come in and play. At the same time, the paddy fields, wasteland, the front hall of the Zhenglan Banner, stables, warehouses, and the empty spaces of the Yongshun, Yongqing, and Yongji alleys where the Banner people lived behind the Guandi Temple on Citang Street were demolished and relocated. Chengdu China has so much sweet people that share so much good tips and love ... from playing football to just experiencing eachother cultures it's definitely recommended to go there The peoples park is a must visit i enjoy the cultural feel there it feels like a real traditional part of china you can check out the marriage market where people advertise love resumes to participate in finding a marriage partner to also rowing a boat and it's also got a little food section and a nice place to chill out ..
