It really feels like being in some exciting island somewhere outside of China. But in reality it’s a few hours dive east of Shenzhen. We have been here several times over the years and also stayed at one of the cute hotels just at the beach. You can play with your SUP here or simply rent one. During the summer months the temperature by the beach is actually quite warm. The little town is full of streets and alleys and each time we come we find something new. This hidden cove is located in a small villa area in the Western side of the dapeng peninsula. We stayed in a villa for a night. It was huge and had everything you could possibly need for a group of people to have a grand time. There was a karaoke room, a games room, a conference room with a huge TV and a balcony. We had an amazing BBQ with steak, hot dogs, seafood, vegetables and more. In the morning we went to the beach cove in the pictures and went swimming. It was a perfect place to relax away from any crowds. We basically had the beach to ourselves. I would definitely come here again given the chance, this beach is far better than the one near the old dapeng fortress town. #beachlife #staycation

Navigate to "Half Mile Valley." Nearby are natural streams and valley scenery, suitable for those who prefer tranquility and want to get close to nature. - Baiwang Leisure Fishing Spot: Navigate to "Baiwang Leisure Fishing Spot" and continue driving 100 meters past the fishing area. There's shade for picnics and many flat areas along the stream, ideal for family stream trekking with children. Longgang District - Wutong Mountain River: You can access the water all along the greenway. Navigate to "Wutong Mountain Art Town." Ride the metro to Liantang Port station exit A1 (莲塘口岸A1） ✅Switch your transit app from subway>>bus Hop on the local bus *e11* and ride to Dapeng Centre station (大棚中心） 🚕 From this point you can rent a taxi for convenience. Ride to the YangMeiKeng village. 🚤 Boating Location: Next to the bridge is the speed boat marina. Get a one way ticket. (Notice ** there is a tram and walking path to return.) 📍 （ 杨梅坑桥 ）YangMeiKeng Bridge On your first trip you should rent a speed boat! To get to the far island shore arrive in style. It’s the excitement you need before your journey! Hold on to your hats. The waves get bumpy! Each boat sits 10 passengers. Groups are encouraged to go together. One way ticket price is 35¥. Once on the shore, walk into the campsite. Find the big tree full of wishes. It’s a colourful place. Have a picnic under the shade. There are juice stands and snack stalls. Washrooms are also at this site. Start your hike at the main gate: There are observation decks on the trail. Each trail includes a steep slope for the adventurous — and a gentle slope for casual hikers. Both scenes are enjoyable. The paths wind and interweave with one another. You can join your pals at the rest site and chat. Your first target should be the new wooden observation deck (level 3). There are large pieces of volcanic rock at this location. The edge of the deck is a great place for skyline photos. The view is amazing! 🏖️ We went hiking in the spring. The weather is cool and has overcast skies. This made for wonderful contrast photos with sweater weather. This temperature is enjoyable and there aren’t many insects. There are plenty of song birds and lovely dogs. The descent is best done slowly. We opted for the gentle slope so we could stay comfortable. We made it down from the 3rd deck in just one hour. With a big group it’s better to gather together near the end of the trail and travel out together. Ride the tram back to the start point at YangMeiKeng bridge. Cost is 13¥. The seaside view is marvelous. View the ocean bay and sandy shores. The tram will bring you to the mountain base where you can set up your picnic. Enjoy tents or lemon tea offered in the village. On the sandy beach there’s room for your tent and football match.
