The riverside walk was peaceful, with the soft light and quiet surroundings creating the perfect atmosphere for exploring. The highlight of the day was climbing up to Dongshan Temple, which sits gracefully above the city. The hike was refreshing, and the view from the top offered a stunning panorama of Guiyang, its rooftops blending into the misty horizon. The temple’s tranquil atmosphere, combined with the serene weather, made it a memorable and soothing experience. It was the perfect day for urban exploration.

The area is quite famous so a lot of transport systems pass through there. Depending with where you’re coming from, there are bus, subway or taxi options (Didi included). The entrance is a little tricky to find, I got lost twice, haha. Check my second slide to see where the entrance is exactly. The place has beautiful gates that you see as you climb up, very colorful and well designed. It’s literally hiking but kinda easy because there are stairs so you’ll be blessed to get a view of the city of Guiyang the higher you go. Once you get to the top, there’s the key feature of the scenic spot: the temple. A well designed structure if I must say. There’s a pavilion also and most people prefer to go early morning or end of day to see the sunrise or sunset. There are many hotels nearby. Food & beverages are sold at the summit of the mountain.
