Hakata Eating Trip
My main purpose in going to Hakata was to see my favorite idol's live performance, but before I knew it, my trip was filled with delicious food!
[Motsunabe Maedaya]
While I was looking for a delicious motsunabe restaurant, I found out that there is a motsunabe restaurant that BTS had visited in the past! So I walked directly from Hakata Station without making a reservation. It was before opening time, so I was able to enter on the first round, but after that there was a waiting time, so please make a reservation! Those who made a reservation were guided to the second floor through a different entrance.
There were many celebrity autographs on display, but there were no BTS ones, and when I asked the staff, they said they were getting new autographs all the time, so I think they had replaced them. That's what they said. Too bad
I was impressed by the taste of the motsunabe, but the Yobuko squid sashimi🦑 was the best. It was my first time eating a clear squid that was still moving, and I was so surprised by how delicious it was.
I was surprised that I could choose from ① raw sashimi, ② salt-grilled, and ③ tempura for the remaining meat, ears, and legs! I ordered tempura (③), and I think I might come back to Hakata just to eat this again. It was so delicious that I thought that. Two women ate two servings of motsunabe and a whole bowl of squid, and we were so full that we couldn't add the champon noodles or rice that were made with the leftover soup from the motsunabe, which I regret a little. 😅
[Sweets Shop Takimura]
Kyushu 🟰 Shirokuma
So I searched for a place to eat Shirokuma shaved ice around Hakata. Unfortunately, it wasn't the season, so I couldn't eat the Shirokuma I was looking for, but I did get the Hojicha Black Honey Kinako Azuki. The kinako flavor was strong and I was impressed.
[Hakata Seafood Uoden]
Mentaiko salmon roe egg roll bowl.
I wanted to eat it last time, so I lined up, but the line was so long that I didn't think I'd be able to get in the store within the scheduled time, so I gave up. So this time, I really wanted to eat it, so I moved early on the morning I stayed there to get my turn.
The amount of rice was not much, but the tamagoyaki and mentaiko were big and I was full. The miso soup had a sweet taste that I had never tried before. The soy sauce was also a little sweet, so I think it's a standard miso soup in Kyushu.
I took out the mentaiko french fries, and they prepared it for me fresh.
This was also great with plenty of mentaiko!
[Hakata Juban Yosoichi]
I had a craving for sweet potato sweets, so I went to a sweet potato crepe shop in Nakasu that I saw on Instagram, but for some reason they coldly told me that they were no longer open. I was already hungry for sweet potatoes, so I searched for them and went to Yosoichi.
There were baked sweet potatoes and chips lined up, and I was tempted, but I bought sweet potato.
It was a moist and not too sweet sweet potato that was worth the trip.
