[2025 Tuan Chau Stay] Travel Guide for HALONG CAPELLA CRUISE (Member of Lyra Cruise Collection) (Updated May)

🛳️: Capella Cruise ⏳: One night stay 🛏️: Sky Terrace Suite 1. 🚘 we arranged pick up from our hotel in Hanoi to the port on day of check-in, process was easy, driver arrived on time and drive was smooth (~3 hours drive with one stop) 2. 🚤 arrived at the port, checked-in and were welcomed with drinks. Cruise manager then came around to give us our key bands and asked if we had any food requirements before boarding the tender boat to get to the main cruise ship - this took around 45mins - the cruise manager also went through our itinerary at this time 3. 🍽️ after arriving, we dropped off our luggage in our room and then it was off to buffet lunch! there was a mix of local and western cuisine selections 4. 🛏️ we booked the Sky Terrace Suite and it was beautiful, had big windows on both sides overseeing the bay, with a large terrace as well, we enjoyed the views here a lot 5. 🚣♀️ then it was time for water activities - you can go and kayak (definitely recommend), enjoy the pool or the water slide! we met a lot of cruise mates while in the pool - definitely a great way to meet new friends! 6. 🍹 after cleaning up, it was time for happy hour at the top deck where you can buy 2 drinks and get 1 free! there were also free snacks available - chatted away with our cruise mates over drinks and watched the beautiful sunset 7. 👩🏻🍳we then joined the spring roll making demonstration - that was lots of fun with lots of interactions and competitions! of course we then got to taste the spring rolls (delicious) and also got to sample a coconut drink! 8. 🍴then it was time for dinner - it was a set dinner of western cuisine, with live music of Vietnamese instruments being played while we dined! 9. ♠️ after-dinner activities included squid fishing and poker - we played poker with our new friends and had lots of fun with the crew-dealer, with some music and drinks! great way to end an awesome day! 10. 🌄 it was an early morning start of light breakfast (fruits, bread, made to order eggs) before visiting the light & darken caves - we were excited to see the one of the endangered monkey species they have in the area, but unfortunately they didn't make an appearance that day! the little ride was still a good experience! 11. 🍽️ back on to the cruise, we checked out and had one last buffet brunch before getting back on the tender boat to the port, and a ~3 hour drive back to Hanoi! Had the best time with Capella Cruise to see Halong Bay (our first time) - one night stay was enough to do all the on-board activities and experience the bay! Our one night Halong Bay cruise was everything we could've asked for and more. The activities on board and excursions are great, from kayaking to squid fishing. There is something for everyone! The staff and food was incredible and we cannot recommend it enough!#halongbaycruise #hanoi
