My WeChat Moments were blowing up asking where I found the underwater starry sky in Wuhan
Baozi, the Wuhan Polar Ocean World is definitely the "top performer" in the parent-child travel scene! Last week, I took my baby to check out the newly upgraded "Underwater Starry Sky" scene and stayed at the Polar Ocean Hotel next door. I was healed throughout the entire trip!💫 Today, I'm sharing a super detailed "sea, land, and air" travel + accommodation guide, with starry sky photo tips and a guide to tiring out your little one👇
🐋 [Travel Guide] Immersive Fun in the Ocean Fairytale World
As soon as you enter the park, you'll see a huge penguin sculpture waving its flippers. My baby dragged me straight to the first venue~🌊 I recommend following this route to see all the shows without backtracking!
🌟 Top 3 Must-See Venues
1. 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Tunnel
You'll be amazed the moment you step into the tunnel! 🌌 Sharks, rays, and huge sea turtles swim slowly overhead~ Remember to stop in the "Starry Sky Dome" area. At 3pm, the sunlight shines through the dome, combined with the blue lights, making you feel like you're in a deep-sea starry sky! 📸 Photo Tips: Have your baby stand in the middle of the tunnel and look up at the fish. Turn on your phone's portrait mode to blur the background for a super dreamy effect~
2. Beluga Whale Theater
The beluga whales "Tangtang" and "Guoguo" are so healing! 🐋 They splash water with their tails, snuggle with their trainers and spin around, and even spray "rainbow mist" at the end~ I recommend sitting in the front row (bring a raincoat!). You can touch the beluga whales' smooth dorsal fins during the interaction~
3. Penguin and Polar Bear Pavilions
The waddling Papuan penguins are so cute when they dive into the water! 🐧 The polar bear "Kele" likes to wander in front of the glass. My baby compared heights with it through the glass and laughed so hard~ Remember to come at 11am to see the keepers feed them. The penguins are super lively when they fight for fish!
🌟 Hidden Romance: Limited Underwater Starry Sky Night Show
The "Starry Sky Mode" is turned on every Friday to Sunday after 5pm! 🌃 Thousands of LED lights light up on the top of the tunnel, combined with wave projections, making it seem like stars are falling into the sea~ I recommend renting a set of "ocean-themed parent-child outfits" (available for rent in the park). A family of three can take silhouette photos under the starry sky, and your WeChat Moments will explode with inquiries!💖
🏨 [Accommodation Guide] Sleep in an Ocean-Themed Hotel and Wake Up to Cute Pets
I highly recommend staying at the "Wuhan Polar Ocean Hotel" next door! 🚶♀️ It's a 5-minute walk to the park, making it super easy to take your baby~
✅ The Parent-Child Room Types Understand Babies' Hearts Too Well
Choose the "Penguin Theme Room" or "Shark Theme Room"! 🛏️ There are huge plush penguins on the bed, underwater murals on the walls, and even the table lamps are shaped like little dolphins~ Children's slippers and toothbrush sets are all available, so thoughtful that I want to give it five stars!
✅ Hidden Hotel Perks
① There's a "Cute Pet Breakfast Party" at 7:30am: You can see parrots and miniature pigs walking around in the restaurant. Your baby can eat bread while handing sunflower seeds to the parrots, which is super fun~
② There's a "Starry Sky Swimming Pool" on the top floor (open in summer): At night, the pool is lit with twinkling lights. Your baby can float in a swimming ring and look at the stars, not wanting to get out of the water~
✅ Perks for Lazy People: Exclusive Benefits for Hotel Guests
① Enter the park 1 hour early to avoid the crowds and rush to the popular venues first!
② Get tickets for "VIP Viewing Seats" so you don't have to fight for seats to watch the beluga whale show~
🍴 [Food Guide] Cute Meals Inside and Outside the Park
✅ Inside the Park: Time-Saving and Cute
The "Shark Set Meal" at "Polar Burger House" is a must-order! 🍔 The burger has a blue bun and comes with shark-shaped hash browns. Your baby will hold it and refuse to eat it, saying "It's too cute"~ There's also an "Octonauts" themed ice cream. Choose the strawberry flavor, you can't go wrong~
✅ Hotel Restaurant: Parent-Child Friendly
For breakfast, there are freshly made "Penguin Custard Buns" and "Starfish Hash Browns". Your baby will giggle while holding the little penguin buns~ For dinner, I recommend the "Tomato Fish Set Meal". The boneless fish is suitable for children~
✅ Surprise Food Finds Nearby
Take a 5-minute drive from the hotel to "Jinyintan Aeon". There's "Saizeriya" and "Best Shop". I recommend buying a "Coconut Shredded Square" for afternoon tea, it's sweet but not greasy~
⚠️ [Tips to Avoid Pitfalls] Must-Read Tips for Parent-Child Travel
1. Night Show Starry Sky Limited: Remember to check the park's announcement in advance. The starry sky projection may be canceled on rainy days~
2. Outfit Suggestions: Wear light-colored clothes during the day for great photos. Bring a light jacket at night, as the venues are air-conditioned~
3. Feeding Rules: You can only feed the penguins with feed purchased in the park (CNY 20/portion). Don't bring your own bread~
4. Peak Shaving Tips: Watch the shows in the morning and visit the venues after 3pm, when the animals are more active~
After spending two days with my baby at the Polar Ocean World, my biggest feeling is that "my eyes aren't enough and the laughter never stops"! 🐬 Especially when lying in the hotel bed, hearing my baby say in a milky voice, "Mommy, I dreamed of watching the stars with the beluga whales", my heart melted~💖 This summer, bring your baby on a "deep-sea starry sky trip"!
