Historic buildings
Humayun's Tomb is located in New Delhi, India. It was built in the 16th century. It is the resting place of Humayun, the second emperor of the Mughal Empire, and the first true garden tomb in Indian history. Humayun's Tomb was commissioned by Humayun's wife, Haji Begum. The architectural design combines the architectural styles of Persia, India and Central Asia, and is a classic representative of Mughal architecture. The mausoleum is built of red sandstone and white marble, with a symmetrical structure and surrounded by geometric gardens and canals. The center of the mausoleum is a tall dome building with exquisite interior decoration and intricate patterns and calligraphy art inlaid on the walls. Humayun's Tomb is not only the burial place of the emperor, but also the burial place of other Mughal royal family members. It is an important historical site and a must-visit place for tourists to understand Mughal history and architectural art.
