Southampton Day Trip | Happiness Beyond Imagination
Oxford➡️Southampton train 1.5h direct, £20 round trip. Taking advantage of the sunny weather and aiming to unlock new maps, I didn't expect the experience to be quite good!
1st Stop: IKEA. Rare to have an IKEA right next to the train station! As soon as I arrived, I enjoyed cheap meatballs and even got a sea view, super satisfying! Heard there was a half-price sale yesterday on Friday, so jealous...
2nd Stop: Tudor House. The site isn't big, but it's quite interesting! Before the tour, watch an immersive movie to learn about the 800-year history of the ancient house, then walk around the rooms turned into exhibition halls to experience ancient British life, and finally visit the garden to see the old city walls and bask in the sun, very relaxing. One room even has costumes for interactive photos 😂
Museum student ticket is £7 on the spot, a bit pricey, but you can enter as many times as you want within a year with the receipt? No ticket needed if you only go to the museum cafe?
3rd Stop: Mayflower Park. A large parking lot by the sea with many people coming to see the sea. Took a stroll and felt my mood broaden.
4th Stop: Ancient City Gate + Pedestrian Street: There are many snack stalls in front of the ancient city gate, crowded with people, not good for photos. Found an Alice+Olivia dress for £12.5 in a charity shop on the pedestrian street in the city center, a nice souvenir.
