It was located on the 5th floor of the old building in District 1 (similar to the famous Apartment building on 42 Nguyen Hue) Vibe: Japanese vibe with some sitting are on the floor. There is a huge bookshelf with all the Japanese mangas. Tip: sitting outside at the balcony for the vibrant street view of Nguyen Hue walking street.

If you want to choose the most gorgeous and sophisticated place in Ho Chi Minh, it would be “Nguyen Hue Walking Street” There are many luxury stores and the streets are clean and wide. There is also a Rolls Royce store that I have never seen in Korea…lol The square where the Ho Chi Minh statue is located has great landscaping, so it is pretty no matter where you take pictures. They say the night view is beautiful, but it is also a good place to go during the day. You can feel the development of Ho Chi Minh from the tall buildings and clean and wide streets.

Nguyen Hue Street resembles Gwanghwamun Street in Seoul. There are a lot of young people, and it's really noisy like Hongdae day and night. Especially in the evening, there are a lot of young people sitting in front of the cafe, drinking coffee and playing games, so it makes you wonder where to go. Among them, this cafe is quiet and the coffee is delicious, so I often go there. The interior is also pretty, so it's great for taking pictures. Getting There - the bus stop is right in front of the Saigon Opera house, near Nguyen Hue walking street (during weekend) The ticket is 150K VND for adults and 100K for children. You can purchase it on the spot. Sitting in the upper deck if weather allows as the view is clearer and you can take more beautiful photos upstairs. The tour journey will be around 1 hour. The route map is for reference but the bus may detour due to traffic conditions. Tip: Go for the late afternoon around 5-6pm as the weather is cooler and you can see the whole city’s light on. However, traffic is horrendous as it’s peak hour too.

During the day, you can visit the Notre Dame Church and the Central Post Office to admire the beauty of French architecture; at night, you can stroll along Pham Ngu Lao Street to experience the lively nightlife. Happy to be in Ho Chih Minh City at the right moment when they are celebrating their 50th. Really nice affair with the streets decorated and lots of local Vietnamese travelling from the outskirts to join in the festivities. The streets were full of flags, nightly fireworks and daily airshows. By the waterfront there was a boat procession and a display of cannons. There was a world record drone show but I missed it as I had to return home.

Saigon city is place for touring and especially cost of accommodation is not really high and food price is really really reasonable in case you prefer local food not talking about international or western food.

#2月好去处2025 2/4 Checked into a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and took a taxi to Ho Chi Minh Square at night. It was during the Spring Festival, and crowds of people kept pouring in. The performances and beautiful scenery around were all in sight! My wife helped me buy the sightseeing bus tickets, which were quite cheap. The six of us sat on the top floor. After the bus departed, the night view of Ho Chi Minh City was so beautiful! Miss Asan from Vietnam sitting in the back seat screamed in surprise. It was a good Chinese New Year atmosphere. The Penang market was bright. Takashimaya Department Store was good for shopping.

I took a double-decker bus and went around Ho Chi Minh City.

It is really comfortable to walk on this pedestrian street, and observe carefully how people around you enjoy the atmosphere of the Spring Festival. There are many street performers, performing puppets, playing musical instruments, and funny scenes with music. All kinds of people, things and architectural features make people immersed in it. You can stay on this street for a very long time, or you can sit down and rest when you are tired like the locals. It is very interesting!

I can't believe there's a shop in a place like this! It's up a narrow old staircase. It's the best part of searching for shops in Ho Chi Minh City✨ - NGOC HYUEN - As you pass by the mynah bird, you'll see basket bags piled up everywhere. My search for a bargain is on✨ There are so many different types, they're all so cute that it's hard to choose🩷 In the back, a young lady was hand sewing bags. There's no price negotiation even if you buy multiple bags, but they're already cheap and you can take your time choosing than at the market♪ When I stopped by again in the evening, I was guided to another shop on the same D. ngyuen thiep street, closer to the park.
