The Lantern Treasures of Central Vietnam - Hoi An Ancient Town, a World Cultural Heritage Site
The Lantern Treasures of Central Vietnam - Hoi An Ancient Town, a World Cultural Heritage Site
After enjoying two days of Michelin-starred food in Hanoi, we took a domestic flight of VietJet Air to Da Nang in the morning! This vacation trip to Vietnam is to revisit the most exciting places in northern and central Vietnam. The most popular and tourist-filled city in central Vietnam must be Da Nang. The airport is only a 10-minute drive from the city, and it only takes 45 minutes to get to Hoi An. It has become the most visited holiday destination in Vietnam in recent years.
After arriving in Da Nang, we went to a seafood restaurant on the north side of My Khe Beach for lunch. Every time I come to Da Nang, I will definitely eat seafood twice because it is so fresh and cheap! The first meal was grilled shrimp, fried mantis shrimp with pepper and salt, clams cooked with lemongrass and grilled fish. It cost about HK$200. The children were very satisfied with the meal. It was so fresh~
At around 4 pm, I called a Grab taxi to Hoi An, which cost about 330,000 Vietnamese dong. There are two common itineraries in Hoi An, as follows:
1. Arrive in Hoi An in the afternoon of the first day and stay for one day, and return to Da Nang in the afternoon of the second day
2. Go to Hoi An in the afternoon and leave for Da Nang around 8pm
In fact, the minister took other children to Hoi An in Da Nang for five days in March 2023. At that time, they chose the first way and fully experienced the magnificent day and night scenery of Hoi An, so this time they chose the second way.
Hoi An was a foreign trade port in the 17th century, attracting a large number of Chinese people to settle down and work, so there are many Chinese associations, Guandi Temples, Buddhist temples and clan halls. It was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1999. It is very similar to the ancient city of Malacca in Malaysia! I highly recommend visiting Malacca. I came to Hoi An Ancient Town for the lantern-lit streets at night! It is recommended to arrive near the Hoi An Bridge in the evening so that you can see the sunset and night view. It is unforgettable! A must-see attraction every time you go to Da Nang and Hoi An!!!

Hoi An Food
-Madam Khanh The Banh Mi Queen is a popular French bread shop in Hoi An in recent years. After trying two of them during this trip, I highly recommend the mixed French bread flavors of this shop.
