About Homestays is located in the Cuibai Scenic Area in Zhaitang Town, Mentougou. This scenic area is composed of four villages: Cuandixia Village, Shuangshitou Village, Huanglingxi Village, and Baiyu Village, each with its own characteristics. About Homestays is in Huanglingxi Village, where each room type is an independent courtyard, and you need to buy a scenic area ticket to enter the village. In the summer of 2022, Beijing issued a batch of homestay consumption coupons. I was fortunate to have a very preferential experience of staying in About Homestays, which I had longed for but hesitated. The experience was super good, and it can be considered the ceiling level of the suburban homestays I have stayed in. The housekeeper Xiaoqi is a considerate beauty, who will wait at the homestay reception at the entrance of the village. The 'Little Broken Temple' we stayed in was named after a small broken temple in the village. The entrance is a quiet courtyard, and the guest bedroom is just inside the door, which is not as large as imagined. Because the real surprise is the mountain view bathroom on the right, super large and luxurious, very suitable for our family's bathtub-loving husband, who can stay in it for a day. There is a lovely small staircase outside the back door of the house, which is a very beautiful small terrace. You can have a leisurely barbecue and enjoy the scenery. Unfortunately, we were afraid of mosquitoes in the summer, so we only went up to take pictures frequently but didn't dare to stay for long.
