🇫🇷Saint Malo, the pirate city🏴☠️
Saint Malo, the former pirate town of France! The sea is azure blue, the tide gently hits the beach, and the air has a light salty smell. Walking on the embankment, you can feel the unique atmosphere of this pirate city. Many people bring their children for a walk on the beach. Then we walked along the harbor to the lighthouse. The wind here was so strong that it almost blew people away.
"Saint-Malo Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-Vincent de Saint-Malo)", the interior of the church is tall and solemn. The most amazing thing is the light and shadow refracted by the sunlight through the colored glass, revealing pink and purple light.
After leaving the church, we went to the nearby "Kouign Amann de Saint-Malo" to buy traditional Breton bread. In the Breton dialect, Kouign means pastry and Amann means cream, but it is actually more like a puff pastry with caramelized outer layer and stacked layers inside. It tastes crispy and sweet, and every bite is full of the aroma of cream, God's sinful delicacy⋯⋯💯
"Bergamote" savory crepe Galletes (ordered Végétarienne: tomotes, champignons, oignons, crème fraiche €11.7) has a crispy crust and rich filling, and you can taste the taste of Brittany in one bite. The crepes here are made with buckwheat flour, and have a more layered texture than sweet crepes. Paired with a cup of rich hot latte, it is full of French romance.
I ordered three flavors from the famous ice cream shop “Sanchez L’ARTISAN GLACIER”: vanilla caramel chocolate, black currant, and cantaloupe ice cream for €8. The blackcurrants were tart and delicious.
💰 Average consumption per person: €30-50
