#Singapore Hotel Sofitel Singapore City Centre Location The hotel is located in the Tanjong Pagar Centre building, which is a new high-rise building in Singapore. For those traveling by MRT, you can get off at Tanjong Pagar station on the green line. When you get off the train, just tap your card to exit the door. You don't have to go anywhere. There is an elevator underground from the train floor to the 5th floor to the lobby. I was really impressed by this. I booked a starting room. The room was new, had a good view, was clean, and had complete facilities. There was also a turndown service. The swimming pool is on the 6th floor. It is very big and suitable for serious swimming. In the evening, I stopped by the 1864 Bar on the 5th floor of the hotel for a drink. The menu was beautiful. I really liked it. In the morning, we had breakfast at the hotel at the Racines restaurant. The restaurant is a good size, beautifully decorated, and looks spacious and comfortable. There is quite a variety of food. I like it.

Located next to Guoco Tower, the first thing you’ll notice upon reaching the hotel is the stunning lighting from the first floor lobby. Take a lift to Lvl 5 to reach the lobby. The bar area is stunning too due to some collaboration with Vogue. There is a lush green theme and the signature Sofitel bears are everywhere! The breakfast is at the Racine restaurant just beyond the bar. The variety was great and the fresh fruit juices and Nonya cakes especially stood out. The lovely pool is on Level 6 and this infinity pool has strong resort vibes, likely due to the choose of plants used. There are plenty of deck chairs. There is also jacuzzi. Located on the 6th floor of the hotel, the Club is open from 9am to 9pm. The colour theme of the club (primary darker colours) gives the club a classy feel. The club has both indoor and outdoor seating with outdoor seating next to the pool. Do note that guests must be above 12 to enter the lounge. Non alcoholic beverages and snacks provided throughout the day but the highlight is the evening cocktail from 5.30-7.30pm. A wide range of alcoholic beverages, canapés, cold cuts and cheeses are served. While the taste of the food is good, I found the variety of food to be too little. #afternoontea 1864 9 Wallich Street, 078885 Singapore (Enter via Peck Seah Street) For a luxury posh afternoon tea treats, you can try the specially prepared afternoon tea set from 1864 Bar at Sofitel Singapore City Centre Level 5. There are a variety of both savoury and sweet bite-sized snacks and desserts for your enjoyment. The set also comes with coffee or tea. We love most of the food, especially the lovely desserts. The ambience is definitely posh and relaxing. The bears on some of the sofa are so cute. The staff on duty are also attentive to customers needs and service is excellent. We made a booking in advance for next day’s afternoon tea. Upon settling down at their restaurant, we were asked to choose our tea. When our afternoon tea set came, the staff will introduce and explain to you what pastries and desserts that were being served to us. Each of us was being served with a pot of tea as well. #staycation Sofitel Hotel Singapore City Centre is located in the CBD area, and you can walk to Sofitel Hotel from the nearest MRT station - Tanjong Pagar MRT. We had to take a lift up to check in. The check-in counter staff is very friendly and polite. After checking-in, we had to take another lift up to our room. The room is not too big, we felt that it is just nice for 2 pax. It is very clean, and comfortable. There are many food options nearby Sofitel Hotel as well as a food hawker centre! Since we were having our staycation at Sofitel Hotel City Centre, we then decided to head down and try out their afternoon tea! It is located at their 1864, The Bar. Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s staffs were very friendly. Our room is very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed mattress was comfy as well, I do not like to sleep on soft mattress but Sofitel’s bed is firm! The overall ambience of the hotel was good. One thing to note is that Sofitel City Centre is located in the Central Business District (CBD) area where you will see many office staffs. If you are looking for a staycation away from CBD we’re, Sofitel City Centre is not a good choice for you. Not many people knew that Racines at Sofitel Singapore City Centre serves weekday semi buffet dinner! Racines is a restaurant that serves authentic french cuisine and refined chinese delights. How does the semi buffet dinner works? just pick your main course and the rest will be all buffet style! I love their duck confit! Crispy skin with tender juicy meat! Take a bite of their Wagyu Flank and it melts in your mouth! Do not think that there is not much food since it is a semi buffet dinner! You can choose from a range of a selection of French cheeses, cold cuts, sashimi, and hors d’oeuvre including Whole Salmon Confit and Country Pâté . I am a huge fan of the Sofitel brand, so I was confident that my 2-night experience would be smooth from start to finish. And I was extremely correct! Check in was a breeze - we were even offered late check out seconds after being issued our room key cards. Our room was on the 10th floor and had a view of the pool. The room was immaculate. It was tasteful, large, and very clean. The bed was the largest king bed I've ever slept in. There were ample USB and charging points, with an excellent speaker and entertainment system. My absolute favourite part was the bathroom. The bath tub was huge and could easily fit 2 people in it. The separate rain shower was lovely as well, and toiletries were generously provided. We highly recommend guests to use the gym and pool. The gym was very well equipped, and the pool was just beautiful with sunbeds on the water! Overall an enjoyable stay in a luxurious room with excellent service. As soon as I opened the door, I was amazed. The room was super big, with a bathtub, coffee machine, refrigerator and other facilities, free Wi-Fi. There is a NTUC supermarket and many food stores nearby. Of course, you can also choose to eat in the hotel restaurant. If you eat too much during the trip, the hotel also has a gym and swimming pool for everyone to burn calories. The next day, I woke up and went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Their room are big for their entry level. There are lot of art work display around the room even the bath room and classic feel and yet is modern. they even provide wine glass and yoga Matt in the room which is a plus point for guest. Mrt station is just beside the hotel. There are also many eatery around the hotel. Guest who drive need to take note as there is no complimentary parking provided.

This is still our favourite hotel in Tanjong Pagar area. Address - 9 Wallich St (right above Tanjong Pagar MRT) and the plus point is the vast array of restaurants and food choices around here, especially Japanese and Korean cuisine. If you wish to try the local fare, just walk over to Tanjong Pagar Food centre. The famous Maxwell and Amoy Food centre is just a stone throw away. Highlights - we love every corner of the room. It’s tastefully designed with modern amenities (including a BOSE Bluetooth speaker which is so amazing) The room’s view is impressive as well, overlooking the shop houses around this area. Located next to Tanjong Pagar MRT, this hotel is strategically located in one of CBD in Singapore. At first, were expecting this Sofitel is more like a business hotel. But to our surprise, they provided excellent services for guests with family! This time, we arranged staycation to celebrate my hubby birthday. When we entered the room, they had arranged a cute little tent with beds and teddy bear for my son! What a sweet memory to enjoy his birthday and play with our cheerful son in a cute lil tent 🥰 After that we went to 1864 The Bar to enjoy our high tea. They provided us with varieties of pastries, cakes, macarons and scone and wide selection of TWG teas and coffee. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Not forget to mentioned, they put a huge teddy bear on each sofa and my son really love to cuddle it! After enjoying the high tea, we went down to swimming pool and enjoy our family time in the pool before we grab our dinner at Fat Prince Kafé-Bar-Kebab (next to our hotel). The booking also come with breakfast and we selected combination of continental and english breakfast, which is amazingly delicious (again)! The afternoon tea here is served in a large box and the lid will be opened for you by the waitress/waiter at your table. Large white and brown bears were seated at some of the tables in the restaurant. Moreover, I tried the hotel’s exclusive Singapour Je T’aime tea blend. Address - 9 Wallich St Highlights - Our stay was in March 2021 around school holiday. Booked via trip.com and scored a good deal of 2 nights stay with daily breakfast and Club Lounge access at $259. Such a steal. The room is well-designed and condition is pretty new. I love the Bose speakers here so much 😝. Breakfast was quite good but we were not very impressed with the lounge service. There was no staff proactive asking us what do we want for drink nor show us to the table. We walked in and sat down ourselves. The good things about staying here are food. The famous Maxwell and Amoy Food centre is just a stone throw away. Rating - 4 for the facility and room, 3 for service

Rating - 4/5 Overall, I think it was a good deal that I got on Trip.com in July last year which included high tea and breakfast for 2, together with the room. They allowed up to 5 guests so I was able to have friends over for a little get together, and they lent us a cable to connect to the TV too. #infinitypool Who says infinity has to be high up there? 😜 This hidden gem is located at Sofitel Singapore City Centre’s level 6 and boost and inviting view of its neighbors including erm some residences. ✌🏻 The longish pool is split into a proper area to clock those laps, a wading pool of sorts for toe dipping, and a smaller corner for some quiet water soaking 💦 Alongside the entire length is sun beds and high tables + bar chairs for those who are not so much into getting wet but prefer some sun instead ☀️ Though… bear in mind that this is right beside the Club Millesime so your actions may be completely viewable to those seated in the outdoor terrace 🫣
