Taipei Fine Arts Museum 💫💫💫💫 The ticket is only 30 TWD, offering a great place for leisure! The architecture itself is also very beautiful. The exhibitions are very rich, allowing you to soak in the artistic atmosphere. It's an interesting museum filled with fascinating architecture, and the atmosphere is calm and beautiful. The layout is clear, and the space is comfortable without feeling oppressive. If you want to appreciate some art, it's definitely worth a visit!

I stayed at a hotel (Jolly Hotel) in the center of Taipei, Taiwan, and was able to easily tour Taiwan's national and municipal attractions within 2-3 blocks. It was convenient to use public taxis, and it was also a short distance to get there by public bicycle. I spent a little over an hour viewing the three exhibitions at the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. On Saturdays, the viewing period was until 8:30 PM, so I went to see it late at 7 PM. Even though it was the weekend, there weren't many people, so it was very easy, leisurely, and comfortable to enjoy. Trip.com sells admission tickets, and I won the Taiwan Travel Support Fund. I tried to use the Easy Card. However, when I went, it was the pre-exhibition period, so I was lucky enough to see it for free. This exhibition is said to continue until September 2024. 😁 I usually visit art exhibitions often, so I chose it as a travel course when I was in Taiwan. The scale of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum was very large, and the architecture was very interesting. You can see the beautiful night view through the full-wall windows, and the outdoor sculptures are also great. In addition, there was a large park across from the art museum, and next to it was a cultural space with jazz performances and pubs on weekends. The Taipei fine art museum has an impressive collection of art across various collections, it has something for everyone. It has multiple galleries over five floors with a mixture of permanent collections and temporary modern art installations. It has a shop and library in the basement along with interactive activities for children where they can create their own art and stories. There is a fee for entry but it is free after 5PM, it can get quite busy during the free hours so it’s worth paying the fee to have a quieter galley experience. As a museum lover, I’d recommend you all to visit Taipei Fine Arts Museum in Zhongshan, Taipei. They curated decent and insightful local and international exhibits. The museum has 3 floors which is a nice way to go through the whole area for a half day. Besides, they have park to chill in and the basement for cafe area. Definitely a worth visit museum in town. Taipei is without a doubt one of the most vibrant cities in Asia and is well worth a visit, however with any modern city it can be an expensive city to go to. However having been a few times there are some tips below to help save some money. Airport transfer - The main international airport for the city is quite a long drive and the transfers can be expensive. If your flight arrives at a decent time get the MTR link directly into Taipei main station, it is cheaper and more efficient (if you land late or super early then book a transfer direct on trip) Hotels - Western brand name hotels can be expensive in Taipei, but there are a lot of local hotels that are more reasonable without sacrificing comfort. With the efficient metro it doesn’t matter where you stay for location - I tend to stay around Taipei arena as there is a good range of budget hotels, cheap restaurants and close to the metro line. Food - For snacks and day to day eating the best spots are the convenience chains such as 7/11, Family Mart & Lawson. They do a great range of food to go, cold drinks and coffee and are very well priced. For main meals it can be pricey, but there are lots of noodle bars and street food areas that offer budget alternatives. Night markets - This is the biggest one for me, the night markets are the cheapest places to eat, shop and drink and also give you an amazing look into the Night life of Taipei. The main onies are Shilin, Raohe, Ningxia, Tonghua, and Nanjichang. They have hundreds of food vendors and you are able to pick and choose from each. You need to head there after 5PM so it’s a good place to end your day. Public transport - Taipei is famous for it’s efficient metro and it’s the cheapest way to travel the city, along side the buses you can make it to most major tourist areas this way. Traffic in Taipei can be horrific, so avoid taxis as they are expensive and often very inefficient and slow! The city is very pedestiran friendly and lots of major sites are very walkable. Pre book your tickets for eshibitiuons, galeries and attractions on trip as they can often offer combo deals and vouchers you cannot get if oyu book in person on the day! Yes read it right, a fine art museum for less than $1! In a world where everything is getting more and more expensive by the day this is something that really surprised me, the price has stayed the same for years and the gallery is still as amazing as ever. There are fixed galleries in the lower levels and rotating exhibits depending on the time of year. The galleries are well laid out and spacious with good WiFi; air conditioning and toilets. It’s also very familiar friendly with lockers and luggage storage at the front, a separate children’s art area and outdoor exhibits for the kids to explore. The building itself is also beautiful and very Bauhaus in style - the floor to ceiling windows around the sunken garden is a big hit for me. Tickets are only 30 yuan, and there are many different exhibitions, both large and small. When I visited in February, there were 4-5 exhibitions. The pavilion features both domestic and international artworks and videos. It's a great place to visit alone or with two or three friends. You can spend an entire afternoon or even a whole day there. The garden inside the pavilion also has seating areas where you can rest.
